The Oehlbach Twin Amp Ultra is a high-quality phono preamplifier for demanding vinyl and hi-fi systems. As a versatile phono preamp or phono stage it supports both moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges and combines extremely low-noise amplification with precise signal handling. 24kt gold-plated Cinch contacts, a solid metal housing with an aluminum front plate, and the external linear power supply create the optimal conditions for clean, stable and detailed playback of your records.

For Moving Magnet and Moving Coil

The Twin Amp Ultra is equally suitable for MM and MC cartridge systems and can be flexibly integrated into high-end turntable setups. For Moving Magnet the phono preamp operates with an impedance of 47 kOhm, for Moving Coil with 100 Ohm. This gives you a powerful phono preamp for different cartridge concepts without needing separate units for MM and MC. Especially if you later change the cartridge, your vinyl system remains flexibly configured.

Extremely Low-Noise Signal Processing

The particularly low-noise amplifier concept is tuned to the sensitive output signals of a turntable. Precise amplification and clean signal handling support a transparent sound with high resolution, dynamics and spatial imaging. For analog signal transfer the Twin Amp Ultra features high-quality high-end Cinch sockets and 24kt gold-plated contacts. The connection section includes 2 x Cinch with ground as well as 2 x Cinch socket and allows reliable integration into your existing hi-fi chain.

External Linear Power Supply

A key part of the technical concept is the external linear power supply. It uses an analog, shielded transformer and supplies the phono preamp with stable, low-noise power. Separating the power supply from the audio unit reduces potential electrical interference in the sensitive phono signal path. The operating voltage is 230 V / 50 Hz. The complete power concept includes the power supply itself plus the matching connection cable and mains power cable.

Gentle Start with Power-On Delay

An integrated power-on delay ensures a controlled start of the Twin Amp Ultra. This avoids or reduces annoying switch-on noises and protects speakers and hearing when the system powers up.
