All presets, setlists, and clones created on HeadRush Prime and Core are compatible with the Flex Prime. Unlimited Expansion via HeadRush Clone Technology and Third-Party IRs
The HeadRush Flex Prime supports HeadRush’s exclusive Clone and SuperClone technology, allowing you to instantly expand your onboard amp and effects library. These are precise captures of the sound, dynamics, and feel of highly sought-after gear, including vintage amps, rare pedals, prized speakers, and premium studio equipment. You can also easily load your own clones and third-party impulse response files via Dropbox or Mac/PC using the USB transfer mode.
Seamless Preset Switching with Reverb/Delay Spillover
The multicore processor of the HeadRush Flex Prime enables seamless preset switching with reverb/delay spillover. The tails of all reverb or delay effects in your setup can be configured to fade out naturally when switching presets and/or turning off individual delay or reverb effects. This means every transition with the Flex Prime sounds smooth and seamless—just like a professional studio recording.
Premium Looper with Storage and MIDI Sync Features
The HeadRush Flex Prime features a highly functional looping capability perfect for layering textures and melodies during live shows or as a powerful songwriting tool ready whenever inspiration strikes. Loops can be up to 5 minutes long, with a capacity of 20 minutes for overdubbed audio. When you’re done and want to share your sonic masterpiece with the world, you can save your loops as .WAV files and export them to your Mac/PC. You can also import .WAV files to jam along with your favorite backing tracks and easily sync the looper with external MIDI devices like drum machines.

The HeadRush Flex Prime integrates seamlessly into your current rig and offers a range of inputs to meet all your performance demands.
The back panel is packed with inputs and outputs, including a guitar instrument input, 2 x 6.3mm TS outputs switchable between amp or line level, a 3.5mm mini headphone output, 3.5mm mini aux input, and 3.5mm mini MIDI In/Out. The Flex Prime also features a stereo effects loop for integrating external pedals anywhere in your signal chain.
This also enables advanced integration with a traditional amp via the four-cable method. The USB-B port allows connection to a computer for firmware updates, audio interface functionality, and importing/exporting files directly to/from your HeadRush Flex Prime.
Built-In USB Audio Interface for Recording and Reamping
The Flex Prime’s USB port opens up a world of recording and reamping directly to a computer. When connected, you can use the HeadRush Flex Prime as a 24-bit/96kHz audio interface. The reamp function sends audio from your DAW through the Flex Prime and then records it back into your DAW.
