Protects the Instrument and Your Fingers!
The Classic Cantabile lid damper prevents your piano’s keyboard cover from falling down. This sturdy accessory not only protects the instrument but also your valuable pianist fingers.
Stable and Durable
The hydraulic damper consists of a small oil pressure spring housed in a sturdy metal frame. When closing the piano, the keyboard cover simply rests on the lid damper, which gently lowers the cover. The entire mechanism is glued only to the piano. The prerequisite is that there is at least 3 cm of space next to the keyboard for the lid damper. The underside of the piano cover is protected with a gold-colored metal strip so the two rollers do not have direct contact with the instrument’s surface.
Good for Piano and Pianist
The damper prevents the keyboard lid from dropping quickly, which has acoustic benefits. Besides avoiding a loud bang, it also protects the keyboard instrument itself, as hard impacts can damage the casing over time. Especially in music lessons with children, the biggest advantage is that the musician’s fingers are protected from painful contact with the keyboard cover.
