Nektar's Impact LX mk3 series offers four MIDI controller keyboards — LX25, LX49, LX61 and LX88 — designed for a personal, DAW-integrated workflow that enhances both performance and production. A redesigned keyboard delivers expressive, clean mechanics with a refined key feel, while high-resolution encoders and colored LED keys provide intuitive parameter control and DAW navigation.

A standout feature is the dedicated DAW looper, which lets you create and edit loops hands-free directly from the controller. It works seamlessly with linear, timeline-based DAWs and also supports clip launchers. Timeline scrolling, loop recording and punch-point adjustments are controlled via LED keys and the large encoder, boosting recording efficiency and creativity.

The global encoder offers three switchable modes with Nektar DAW integration: channel volume, instrument cutoff and control selection for all DAW/plugin parameters. Fine 10-bit resolution control and real-time parameter readouts deliver studio-grade precision. The controller supports Native Instruments' NKS standard and integrates with Komplete Select to enable immediate control of any NKS-compatible plugin in any DAW.

Eight velocity-sensitive LED pads come pre-mapped for common drum instruments but are fully customizable. Mixer and instrument modes offer practical control of faders, encoders, sends, pan and plugin parameters with predefined templates for popular virtual instruments.

Advanced Performance Tools Include:

• Scale Mode: Limits notes to a selected scale.
• Chord Mode: Plays chords of 2–6 notes with user presets and inversions.
• Hold Mode: Provides legato or flexible sustain.
• Transpose: Shifts the global key and affects all active modes.

Hardware highlights include USB-C connectivity, 8 faders, 8 full-resolution encoders, 8 pads, transport buttons, a bright LED display and full MIDI programmability. The LX88 mk3 features semi-weighted keys, while the LX25 mk3, LX49 mk3 and LX61 mk3 use a synthesizer-action keybed.
