As a beginner in music production in my home studio with Cubase 13 and software and hardware from Native Instruments, I was on the lookout for inexpensive studio monitors, as my old ones were completely garbage and were screaming. I found what I was looking for at Kirstein and was able to buy some pretty decent monitors on my dwindling budget. I have to say.....I am pleasantly surprised at what these small monitors can do. There will certainly be considerable differences in other price categories, but better, wider, bigger, etc., is always possible and, in my opinion, not necessary for the time being. For my battered ears, these monitors are a real treat and worth every penny. I find them to be very clear, with a good surround sound and well-balanced highs and lows, although I don't have the trained hearing of a professional in a recording studio. But I think you can work very well with these monitors and they will give you pleasure for a long time. In terms of value, they seem to be quite stable and solidly built and I think the price-performance ratio is very reasonable. Of course, I don't have any real objective opinions to compare them with. The connection was uncomplicated and the foam pads of the same color are very nice, as they absorb vibrations wonderfully.
I was also particularly pleased with the speed and friendliness of Kirstein's customer service. There was nothing to complain about, the order was processed promptly and the packaging was also good. So my conclusion: If you are looking for inexpensive yet good studio monitors for games, music production in the home studio or simply for listening to music and don't have such a large budget, these monitors are a really good choice. For me, a clear recommendation to buy and definitely not money badly spent. I am therefore happy to give them a full 5 stars.

Have been looking for speakers for my USB audio interface and then had the question whether Mackie, Presonus or M-Audio. In the end it was the M-Audio speakers because of the slightly larger (4.5 inch) bass speakers. It's also nice that you can make a sound adjustment on the back to adapt the speakers to the acoustics of the home studio. The switch that adjusts whether the active speaker is on the left or right is also a nice gimmick, of course you could also achieve this simply by swapping the connection cables. It's also nice that the important controls, headphone jack and aux input are on the front of the main box, which saves plugging around on the back panel.

The absorber plates I had to shorten the length a bit, because the shelf on which the boxes are only has a depth of 26 cm. Carpet knife and cut, fits. The boxes are stable on the absorber plates and can also be tilted a little forward when they are mounted higher than the ears of the user.P

Now to the sound. It was loud at first, even though I had just set the volume control to "9 o'clock". But ok, at the audio interface the output was fully turned up and at the DAW too. So first of all the levels on the audio interface back and the whole leveled at room volume, knowing that there is still a lot of room for improvement.

The sound is fantastic, no comparison to the small "roar cubes" that previously stood on the desk. The music playback is a pleasure, the sound comes across clearly without distortions or resonances. Perfect sound quality for a small budget.
