The S-Series Monitors Are Adam Audio’s New Flagship!
The S2V is a classic 2-way system designed for nearfield use. It’s perfectly tailored to the demands of small to medium-sized control rooms.
A newly designed 7" woofer operates from 35 Hz to 3 kHz, delivering a distortion-free foundation with wide dynamic range thanks to innovative, modern ELE and SMA technology. The symbiotic interplay of the newly developed, handcrafted S-ART tweeter made in Berlin and the HPS waveguide ensures precise stereo imaging within a generously sized sweet spot.
The compact enclosure houses a 300 W PWM amplifier for the woofer and a 50 W A/B mode amplifier for the S-ART tweeter, delivering a maximum sound pressure level of 120 dB SPL per pair.
The DSP board developed specifically for the S-Series includes a perfectly tuned crossover for an extremely linear frequency response. Additionally, two parametric shelving filters (one for bass, one for treble) plus six fully parametric EQs with variable slopes allow the monitor to be adapted to the room or personal preferences. Furthermore, the DSP offers limiter-based protection for the tweeter amplifier, digital AES3 inputs, and various options for future expansions. Software updates and digital control via computer are easily handled through the USB port.
With its excellent transient response and balanced tonal character, the S2V enables easy localization of individual sound events, making it an ideal solution for demanding studio environments.
