The New A Series - Built to Reveal
The new ADAM Audio A Series stands for uncompromisingly precise and transparent sound reproduction. The A Series offers five different models - A4V, A7V, A44H, A77H and A8H: all are engineered for a wide range of applications. These mainly include professional and home recording studios, but also broadcast, installations and home audio.
The new series introduces smart, useful innovations, including ADAM Audio's rotatable HPS waveguide and DSP-based features to adapt to individual room acoustics and listening preferences. All settings can be remotely controlled in real time via remote software. Upgradeable firmware ensures the A Series studio monitors remain aligned with ADAM Audio's current standards over the long term. An extendable warranty of up to five years and customer-focused support ensure optimal usability of the studio monitors for many years to come.
Precision in Perfection
The A8H features an 8-inch woofer made from a multi-layer mineral-fiber material (MLM), an innovative midrange driver and ADAM Audio's handcrafted X-ART tweeter. Like all models in the A Series, the A8H offers innovative features for tailoring the monitors to personal listening habits and the acoustic environment: a rotatable HPS waveguide and integrated DSP technology provide that flexibility.
This studio monitor suits virtually any monitoring situation in medium to larger rooms. It's the perfect choice when the highest possible fidelity is required. The A8H is available in left and right versions.

A Control Remote Software
The DSP-based functions of all A Series monitors can be remotely controlled in real time via Ethernet using the A Control remote software. It is available as a free download for Windows and macOS to customers who register their A Series monitors in the MyADAM area.
Real-Time Remote Control
The rear panel of the A Series studio monitors offers many adjustment options that are typically not directly accessible from the listening position. With the A Control remote software you can conveniently adjust monitor volume and all equalizer settings from the sweet spot.
Advanced Customization Options
For some applications, the backplate options alone may not offer enough flexibility and precision. A Control enables exact adjustments via six parametric EQs plus low- and high-shelf filters. Each filter band can be set for gain, frequency and Q to give users full freedom to optimize the speaker's sound in the room.
Integration of Sonarworks SoundID Reference
Last but not least, A Control is the platform for our collaboration with market leader Sonarworks. Via A Control you can import calibration curves generated with "SoundID Reference" and load them onto the DSP of A Series studio monitors. When this option is activated, calibration runs directly on the speaker, removing the need for additional VSTs or software on the host system. This also means audio playback always uses the Sonarworks calibration, independent of the source or playback device.

Rotatable HPS Waveguide and X-ART Tweeter
The DSP-based functions of all A Series monitors can be remotely controlled in real time via Ethernet using the A Control remote software. It is available as a free download for Windows and macOS to customers who register their A Series monitors in the MyADAM area.
What Is a Waveguide?
A "waveguide" describes a conical acoustic path that (in this case) surrounds the tweeter opening. It enables a more homogeneous and better-directed sound radiation. The A Series HPS (High-Frequency Propagation System) waveguides are specifically developed for our X-ART tweeters and are made from a special glass-fiber composite. This material is very low in resonance and helps minimize unwanted vibrations.
Wide Horizontally, Focused Vertically
In the horizontal plane, the waveguide aligns the directional output of the X-ART tweeter with that of the woofer and midrange in the crossover region. This results in a more even off-axis frequency response, a more stable stereo image and a larger sweet spot.
In the vertical plane the waveguide reduces reflections from larger studio objects such as mixing consoles, desks or the room ceiling. This helps prevent comb-filtering effects during monitoring.

Optimal Sound in Any Placement
The X-ART tweeter, handcrafted in Germany, excels at precise transient reproduction and revealing the finest sonic details. ADAM Audio's X-ART tweeter is used across the A Series and provides a nuanced sound across the entire product line. For the first time, the A Series features a rotatable HPS waveguide design that allows the tweeter to be rotated by 90° or 180°, so the monitors can be used vertically or horizontally without losing the advantages of the waveguide.

Bass Reflex System, Enclosure & Mounting
The new enclosures of the A Series follow ADAM Audio's typical product design language, particularly echoing the AX Series.
Deeper Reproduction, Higher Efficiency
Double-sided, flow-optimized bass-reflex ports improve airflow and reduce audible turbulence noise compared with previous models. Every cubic centimeter counts, so the extremely compact enclosures were tuned for maximum efficiency in an industrial design. The more aggressively chamfered edges bring acoustic benefits. The noticeably heavier front baffle prevents enclosure resonances.
All Covered: Mounting
The enclosures of all A Series monitors are prepared for easy mounting to walls, ceilings or stands. On the bottom they feature four M8 threaded holes with a depth of 10 mm arranged in a rectangle measuring 127 mm x 70 mm.

Automated Room Adaptation With Sonarworks
At ADAM Audio we are particularly pleased to offer, together with Sonarworks, a solution for automated room adaptation that runs directly on the DSP of A Series studio monitors.
Unfavorable Room Acoustics? No Problem!
The A Series speakers are designed to adapt to changing requirements, preferences and environments. In many cases acoustic treatment of the room is not possible due to building constraints, high costs or the simple fact that the studio also serves as a living or sleeping space. With the A Control software you can apply precise filter settings to compensate for acoustic shortcomings. Signal processing happens directly on the speaker DSP. Alternatively, after measurement you can also load calibration curves from SoundID Reference by market leader Sonarworks onto the DSP platform.

Calibrated Sound for All Sources With Less Processing Power
An intensive collaboration between ADAM Audio and Sonarworks produced the world's first room-correction system that leverages the studio monitor's own processing power. That removes the need for a corresponding DAW plug-in, simplifying the workflow and reducing the host computer's processing load. The room correction is available at any time and independent of the host system.
Hybrid Amplification
The A Series combines the best of the digital and analog worlds.

Efficient Amplification
The woofers in the A Series are driven by Class-D power stages – optimized for linear performance and minimal distortion. The chosen amplifiers convince with high efficiency and low heat generation, leaving room for further improvements and even higher output.
For Optimal Performance
Class-AB amplifiers drive the midrange and tweeter, known for particularly neutral reproduction of high frequencies. Each amplifier is tuned precisely for its frequency band. Component selection and system integration are the result of countless measurements and listening sessions in ADAM Audio's development labs.
Multi-Layer Mineral Woofers (MLM)
Advanced materials and modern analysis and design processes led to the development of our new long-throw woofers.

Mineral Fiber
The cone of an A Series woofer consists of several firmly bonded layers of a mineral-fiber material. This material combines minimal weight with high stiffness. The exact composition is adapted for each loudspeaker model. Combined with the newly developed magnet system, each A Series woofer delivers unusually high SPL with minimal distortion—essential for clean, powerful bass reproduction.
The Development Process
Before series release, A Series woofers underwent numerous tests and prototypes. By using Klippel simulation tools, ADAM Audio's R&D team developed drivers that deliver minimal distortion even at maximum sound pressure levels.
Midrange Drivers
The A Series midrange driver ensures precise reproduction of the frequency range to which the human ear is especially sensitive.
Committed to Precision
The A Series midrange follows the well-regarded DCH midrange from the S Series and delivers exceptionally clean reproduction in the critical midrange. It also relieves the woofer from reproducing mid frequencies. Both the A77H and the A8H are designed as 3-way systems and include the A Series midrange driver.

Piston-Like Power
The A Series midrange cone is made from the same multi-layer mineral fibers as the woofers. The cone is bonded and cut from multiple layers in a special process. The voice coil operates in a homogeneous magnetic field with a wide, linear excursion to avoid any coloration. Distortion caused by cone breakup lies well outside the midrange driver's operating band.
Voicings
"Voicings" are preset tonal profiles. On the rear of all A Series monitors you can select two different voicings with a button: "UNR" and "Pure." Room adaptation works independently of the selected voicing. When using A Control software, the "Ext" option unlocks further features such as more detailed adjustments or Sonarworks calibration.
Uniform Natural Response & Pure (UNR & PURE)
"UNR" or "Uniform Natural Response" delivers a minimally colored yet natural-sounding frequency response. It is modeled after some of ADAM Audio's most beloved monitors in the product history, especially the AX Series. The pleasant, lively sound allows long production and songwriting sessions without fatigue. This setting is also ideal for music enjoyment.
"Pure" provides a maximally neutral and linear frequency response. This voicing is the first choice when the utmost fidelity is required—typically for mixing and mastering.

Room Adaptation
To optimally adapt to the acoustic environment, the rear of every A Series speaker features a 4-band equalizer with controls labeled "Bass", "Desk", "Presence" and "Treble." Each band can be adjusted in predefined steps to compensate for typical acoustic issues that occur depending on speaker placement in a room.

Bass: Reinforcement From Walls
If a speaker is placed close to a hard wall, low frequencies build up and the bass range becomes over-represented. The "Bass" adjustment counters this so the speaker doesn't sound bass-heavy. Available settings are +2, 0, -2 and -4 dB.
Desk: Reflections From Desk or Console
If a speaker is placed on or near a desk surface, the listening position will predictably experience a mid-bass boost caused by early reflections. The "Desk" control compensates for this effect so the speaker doesn't sound boomy. Available settings are 0, -2 and -4 dB.
Presence: Compensating Room Acoustics
Under certain conditions the midrange can sound harsh due to room acoustics or equipment in the room. The "Presence" control tames this harshness and restores the speaker's natural tone. Settings are +1, 0 and -1 dB.
Treble: Compensating High-Frequency Absorption
In rooms with too much or too little absorption of high frequencies, the sound may seem dull or too sharp. The "Treble" adjustment restores a natural-sounding balance. Values are +1.5, 0 and -1.5 dB.
Digital Signal Processing
Thanks to powerful DSP technology, all A Series monitors offer significantly improved and more extensive options for acoustic tuning compared with purely analog speakers.

Consistency and Longevity
A key advantage of DSP-based speakers over analog systems is their consistency and predictability. Because signal processing happens digitally, crossovers, filters and EQs do not age the way analog components do. The signal conversion uses high-quality AD converters carefully selected by ADAM Audio to ensure excellent performance.
Always Up to Date
The powerful DSP in the A Series enables a wide range of features—from remote control and room adaptation to selecting different voicings. All DSP-based features can be updated via Ethernet, including filter types, voicings and new functionality.
Absorber Plates
The Pronomic ISO-stand absorber plates are ideal as underlays for studio and nearfield monitors. The foam reduces disturbing resonances and unwanted vibrations, significantly improving the sound characteristics of your speakers. The Pronomic wedges improve sound not only by reducing structure-borne vibration but also thanks to their two-component design. This construction allows monitors to be positioned at five different tilt angles, enabling ideal alignment with the listening position.
