The New A Series - Built to Reveal
The new ADAM Audio A Series stands for uncompromisingly precise and transparent sound reproduction. The A Series offers five different models - A4V, A7V, A44H, A77H and A8H - all developed for a wide range of applications. These mainly include professional and home recording studios, but also broadcast, installations and home audio.
The new series brings smart, useful innovations such as ADAM Audio's rotatable HPS waveguide and DSP-based features to tailor the speakers to individual room acoustics and listening preferences. All settings can be controlled remotely in real time via remote software. Upgradeable firmware ensures that A Series monitors remain aligned with ADAM Audio's current standards over the long term. An extendable warranty of up to five years and customer-focused support guarantee optimal usability of the studio monitors for many years.
The New Standard
The A7V succeeds ADAM Audio's award-winning bestseller, the A7X. This 2-way speaker features a newly developed 7-inch woofer made from a multi-layer mineral-fiber material (MLM) and ADAM Audio's handcrafted X-ART tweeter. The A7V delivers a frequency range from 40 Hz to 45 kHz; the rotatable HPS waveguide and integrated DSP technology allow optimal adaptation to individual room conditions and personal sonic preferences.

A Control Remote
The DSP-based functions of all A Series monitors can be controlled in real time via Ethernet using the A Control remote software. It is available as a free download for Windows and macOS to customers who register their A Series monitors in the MyADAM area.
Real-Time Remote Control
The rear panel of A Series studio monitors offers many adjustment options that are usually not directly accessible from the listening position. With the A Control remote software you can conveniently adjust monitor levels and all equalizer settings from the sweet spot.
Advanced Customization Options
For some applications the backplate options may not provide enough precision. A Control enables exact adjustments via six parametric EQs plus low- and high-shelf filters. Each band can be set for gain, frequency and Q as required, giving users full freedom to optimize the speaker’s sound in their room.
Sonarworks Sound ID Reference Integration
Last but not least, A Control is the platform for our cooperation with market leader Sonarworks. With A Control you can import calibration curves generated by "Sound ID Reference" and transfer them to the A Series monitors' DSP. When this option is enabled, calibration runs directly on the speaker, eliminating the need for additional VSTs or software. That also means audio is always played back with Sonarworks calibration applied, independent of the source or playback device.

Rotatable HPS Waveguide and X-ART Tweeter
The DSP-based functions of all A Series monitors can be controlled in real time via Ethernet using the A Control remote software. It is available as a free download for Windows and macOS to customers who register their A Series monitors in the MyADAM area.
What Is a Waveguide?
A "waveguide" is a conical acoustic horn that surrounds the tweeter's opening. It enables a more homogeneous and better directed sound radiation. The A Series' HPS (High-Frequency Propagation System) waveguides are specially developed for our X-ART tweeters and are made from a special fiberglass composite. This material has very low resonance, helping to minimize unwanted vibrations.
Wide Horizontally, Focused Vertically
On the horizontal plane the waveguide aligns the X-ART tweeter’s directivity with that of the woofer/midrange around the crossover region. The result is a smoother off-axis frequency response, a more stable stereo image and a larger sweet spot.
Vertically, the waveguide reduces reflections from large studio objects such as mixing consoles, desks or the ceiling. This helps prevent comb-filtering effects during monitoring.

Optimal Sound in Any Orientation
The German-handcrafted X-ART tweeter delivers precise transient response and the finest detail. ADAM Audio's X-ART tweeter is used across the entire A Series, providing a nuanced sound throughout the product line. For the first time the A Series features a rotatable HPS waveguide design that allows the tweeter to be rotated by 90° or 180°. This lets you deploy the monitors vertically or horizontally without sacrificing the advantages of the waveguide.

Bass-Reflex System, Enclosure & Mounting
The new A Series enclosures clearly follow ADAM Audio’s typical product design, particularly echoing the AX Series.
Deeper Sound, Higher Efficiency
Double-sided, flow-optimized bass-reflex ports improve airflow and noticeably reduce turbulence noise compared to predecessor models. Every cubic centimeter counts, so the extremely compact enclosures are trimmed for maximum efficiency in an industrial design. The more flattened edges are acoustically beneficial. The significantly heavier baffle prevents enclosure resonances.
Thoughtful Mounting Options
All A Series enclosures are prepared for easy mounting on walls, ceilings or stands. On the underside they feature four M8 threaded holes with a 10 mm thread depth, arranged in a rectangle measuring 127 mm x 70 mm.

Automated Room Tuning With Sonarworks
At ADAM Audio we are particularly pleased to offer, together with Sonarworks, a solution for automated room tuning that runs directly on the A Series monitors' DSP.
Problematic Room Acoustics? No Problem!
The A Series speakers are designed to adapt to changing demands, preferences and environments. In many cases room acoustic improvements are not possible due to building constraints, high costs, or the fact that the studio doubles as a living or sleeping space. A Control lets you apply precise filter settings to compensate for room shortcomings. The signal processing runs directly on the speaker's DSP. Alternatively, after measurement you can also load calibration curves from SoundID Reference by Sonarworks onto the DSP platform.

Calibrated Sound for All Audio Sources With Less Processing Power
An intensive collaboration between ADAM Audio and Sonarworks produced the world’s first room correction that leverages the monitor’s own processing power. This removes the need for a DAW plug-in, simplifying workflows and reducing the host computer’s load. The room correction is available any time and independently of the host system.
Hybrid Amplification
The A Series combines the best of the digital and analog worlds.

Efficient Amplification
The A Series woofers are driven by Class-D amplifiers—optimal for linear performance and minimal distortion. These amplifiers stand out for their high efficiency and low heat generation, leaving room for further improvements and even higher output.
For Top Performance
Class-AB amplifiers are used for the tweeter and midrange. They are known for especially neutral reproduction of high frequencies. Each amplifier is precisely optimized for its frequency band. Component selection and system tuning are the result of countless measurements and listening sessions in ADAM Audio's development labs.
Multi-Layer Mineral Woofer [MLM]
State-of-the-art materials and advanced analysis and design methods led to the development of our new long-excursion woofers.

Mineral Fiber
The cone of an A Series woofer consists of several firmly bonded layers of a mineral fiber material. This material combines minimal weight with high stiffness. The exact composition is tuned for each driver model. Together with the newly developed magnet system, each A Series woofer achieves unusually high output with minimal distortion—essential for clean, powerful bass reproduction.
The Development Process
Before reaching production readiness, the A Series woofers underwent numerous tests and sample runs. Using Klippel simulation tools, ADAM Audio's R&D team developed transducers that operate with the lowest possible distortion even at maximum sound pressure levels.
Voicings
"Voicings" are preset tonal profiles. On the rear of every A Series monitor you can select two different voicings via a button: "UNR" and "Pure." Room tuning is independent of the selected voicing. When using A Control, the "Ext" option unlocks further features like more detailed adjustments or Sonarworks calibration.
Uniform Natural Response & Pure [UNR & PURE]
"UNR" or "Uniform Natural Response" delivers a minimally colored yet very natural-sounding frequency response. It is inspired by some of ADAM Audio's most popular monitors, especially the AX Series. The pleasant and lively sound allows long production and songwriting sessions without fatigue. This setting is also excellent for general music enjoyment.
"Pure" provides a maximally neutral and linear frequency response. This voicing is the first choice when the highest fidelity is required—typically for mixing and mastering.

Room Tuning
For optimal adaptation to the acoustic environment, each A Series speaker has a 4-band equalizer on the rear panel with parameters labeled "Bass", "Desk", "Presence" and "Treble." Each frequency band can be adjusted in predefined steps, providing the flexibility needed to compensate typical acoustic issues that occur when placing speakers in a room.

Bass: Reinforcement From Walls
If a speaker is placed close to a hard wall, low frequencies can reinforce each other, causing the bass region to be overrepresented. The "Bass" adjustment counteracts this so the speaker doesn’t sound boomy. Available settings are +2, 0, -2 and -4 dB.
Desk: Reflections From Desk Or Console
If a speaker is positioned on or near a desk surface, the listening position will typically experience a mid-bass boost caused by early reflections. The "Desk" control compensates for this effect so the speaker does not sound boxy. Available settings are 0, -2 and -4 dB.
Presence: Room Acoustics Compensation
Under certain conditions the midrange can sound harsh due to room acoustics or equipment in the room. The "Presence" control tames that harshness and restores the speaker's natural tonal balance. Available settings are +1, 0 and -1 dB.
Treble: Compensating High-Frequency Absorption
In rooms with too much or too little absorption of high frequencies, the sound can appear dull or overly sharp. The "Treble" adjustment restores a natural balance. Available values are +1.5, 0 and -1.5 dB.
Digital Signal Processing
Thanks to powerful DSP technology, all A Series monitors offer significantly improved and broader options for acoustic tuning compared to purely analog speakers.

Consistency and Longevity
A major advantage of DSP-based speakers over analog systems is their consistency and predictability. Because signal processing happens digitally, crossovers, filters and EQs do not age like analog components. The AD converters are high-quality units selected by ADAM Audio to ensure excellent performance.
Always Up To Date
The A Series' powerful DSP enables a wide range of features—from remote control and room tuning to multiple voicings. All DSP-based features can be updated via Ethernet, including filter types, voicings and new functions.
Absorber Pads
The Pronomic ISO-stand absorber pads are ideal for placing under studio and nearfield monitors. The foam reduces unwanted resonances and vibrations, improving your speakers' tonal characteristics. Beyond reducing structure-borne sound transfer, the two-component design of these wedges allows positioning monitors at five different tilt angles for optimal alignment with the listening position.
