The New A Series - Built to Reveal!
The new ADAM Audio A series stands for uncompromisingly precise and transparent sound reproduction. The A series offers five different models - A4V, A7V, A44H, A77H, and A8H: all designed for a wide range of applications. These mainly include professional and home recording studios, but also broadcasting, installations, and home audio.
The new series features smart and useful innovations, including ADAM Audio’s rotatable HPS waveguide and DSP-based functions for adapting to individual room acoustics and listening preferences. All settings can be remotely controlled in real time via remote software. Upgradeable firmware ensures that the A series studio monitors meet ADAM Audio’s current standards long-term. An extendable warranty of up to five years and customer-focused support guarantee optimal usability of the studio monitors for many years.
Compact & Powerful
The A4V is a 2-way speaker using ADAM Audio’s renowned X-ART tweeter. It features a 4-inch woofer whose diaphragm – as with all A series models – is made from an extremely lightweight yet highly stable mineral fiber material (MLM). Thanks to DSP technology, the A4V instantly delivers perfect sound in a variety of monitoring environments. Its frequency response from 52 Hz to 45 kHz qualifies it for a broad range of uses – from podcast production to mixing a string quartet. Additionally, the A4V is ideal for multichannel systems.

A Control Control
The DSP-based functions of all A series monitors can be remotely controlled in real time via Ethernet using the A Control remote software. It is available free of charge for Windows and MacOS to customers who register their A series monitors in the MyADAM area.
Real-Time Remote Control
The rear of the A series studio monitors offers many adjustment options, but these are usually not directly accessible from the listening position. With the A Control remote software, monitoring volume and all equalizer settings can be conveniently controlled remotely from the sweet spot.
Extended Adjustment Options
For some applications, the backplate options may not offer enough selection and precision. A Control allows precise adjustments via six parametric EQs and low- and high-shelf filters. Each filter band can be freely adjusted in gain, frequency, and Q factor, giving users complete freedom to optimize the speaker’s sound in the room.
Integration of Sonarworks Sound ID Reference
Last but not least, A Control also serves as the platform for our collaboration with market leader Sonarworks. Calibration curves generated with "Sound ID Reference" can be imported via A Control and transferred to the DSP of the A series studio monitors. When this option is activated, calibration takes place directly on the speaker, so no additional VSTs or software applications are required. This also means that audio playback always occurs with Sonarworks calibration, regardless of the sound source or playback device.

Rotatable HPS Waveguide and X-ART Tweeter
The DSP-based functions of all A series monitors can be remotely controlled in real time via Ethernet using the A Control remote software. It is available free of charge for Windows and MacOS to customers who register their A series monitors in the MyADAM area.
What Is a Waveguide?
A "waveguide" is a conically shaped sound guide that (in this case) surrounds the tweeter’s opening. It enables a more homogeneous and better-directed sound radiation. The HPS (High-Frequency Propagation System) waveguides of the A series are specially developed for our X-ART tweeters and are made from a special fiberglass composite. This material has very low resonance and thus helps minimize unwanted vibrations.
Wide Horizontally, Focused Vertically
In the horizontal plane, the waveguide adapts the directional sound radiation of the X-ART tweeter to that of the woofer or midrange driver in the crossover frequency range. This results in a more even frequency response "off axis," a more stable stereo image, and a larger sweet spot.
In the vertical plane, the waveguide reduces reflections caused by larger objects in the studio such as mixing consoles, desks, or the ceiling. This can help prevent comb-filter effects during monitoring.

Optimal Sound in Any Setup
The X-ART tweeter, handcrafted in Germany, impresses with precise reproduction of transients and finest sound details. ADAM Audio’s X-ART tweeter is used in all A series speakers and ensures nuanced sound across the entire product line. For the first time in the A series, a rotatable HPS waveguide design is used, allowing the tweeter to rotate 90° or 180°. This lets the monitors be used both vertically and horizontally without sacrificing the waveguide’s benefits.

Bass Reflex System, Enclosure & Mounting
The new enclosures of the A series clearly follow the typical product design of ADAM Audio, especially the AX series.
Deeper Sound Reproduction, Higher Efficiency
Double-sided, flow-optimized bass reflex ports improve air movement and noticeably reduce any turbulence noise compared to previous models. Every cubic centimeter counts, so the extremely compact enclosures of the series are trimmed for maximum efficiency in an "industrial" design. The more flattened edges are acoustically advantageous. The significantly more massive baffle prevents enclosure resonances.
Thought of Everything: Mounting
All A series monitor enclosures are prepared for easy mounting on walls, ceilings, or stands. They feature four M8 threaded holes on the underside with a depth of 10 mm, arranged in a rectangle measuring 127 mm x 70 mm.

Automated Room Adaptation with Sonarworks
At ADAM Audio, we are especially pleased to offer a solution for automated room adaptation in collaboration with Sonarworks, which takes place directly on the DSP of the A series studio monitors.
Unfavorable Room Acoustics? No Problem!
The A series speakers are designed to adapt to changing requirements, preferences, and environments. In many cases, acoustic optimization of the room is not possible due to structural conditions, high costs, or simply because the studio is also used as a living or bedroom. With the help of the A Control software, precise filter settings can be made to compensate for room acoustic deficiencies. Signal processing takes place directly on the speaker’s DSP. Alternatively, calibration curves from SoundID Reference by market leader Sonarworks can be loaded onto the DSP platform after measurement.

Calibrated Sound for All Audio Sources with Less Computing Power
An intensive collaboration between ADAM Audio and Sonarworks has produced the world’s first room correction that uses the studio monitor’s own computing power. This eliminates the need for a corresponding DAW plug-in, simplifying use and reducing the host computer’s processing load. Additionally, room correction is always available independently of the computer.

Hybrid Amplification
The A series combines the best of the digital and analog worlds.
Efficient Amplification
The woofers of the A series are driven by Class-D amplifiers – optimal for linear performance and minimal distortion. The amplifiers used impress with their high efficiency and low heat generation, leaving room for further improvements and even higher power.
For Best Performance
Class-AB amplifiers are used for tweeters and midrange drivers. They are known for particularly neutral reproduction of high frequencies. Each amplifier is precisely optimized for its frequency range. The selection and combination of components result from countless measurements and listening sessions in ADAM Audio’s development labs.
Multi-Layer Mineral Woofer [MLM]
State-of-the-art materials and advanced analysis and design methods have led to the development of our new long-throw woofers.

Mineral Fiber
The diaphragm of an A series woofer consists of several firmly bonded layers of a mineral fiber material. This material is characterized by minimal weight and maximum stiffness. The exact composition was specially adapted for each speaker model. Combined with the newly developed magnet system, each woofer in the A series delivers exceptionally high levels with minimal distortion – essential for clean and powerful bass reproduction.
The Development Process
Before reaching production readiness, the A series woofers underwent numerous tests and samples. Using Klippel’s simulation tools, ADAM Audio’s R&D team developed transducers that operate with minimal distortion even at maximum sound pressure.
Voicings
"Voicings" are preset sound profiles. On all A series models, two different voicings can be selected on the rear of the studio monitors via a button: "UNR" and "Pure." Room adaptation is independent of the selected voicing. When using the A Control software, additional functions are available via the "Ext" option, such as more detailed adjustments or Sonarworks calibration.
Uniform Natural Response & Pure [UNR & PURE]
"UNR" or "Uniform Natural Response" delivers a minimally colored yet very natural-sounding frequency response. It is based on some particularly popular monitors from ADAM Audio’s product history, especially the AX series. The pleasant and lively sound allows long production and songwriting sessions without fatigue. This setting is also ideal for music enjoyment.
"Pure" offers a maximally neutral and linear frequency response. This voicing is the first choice whenever the highest fidelity is required – typically for mixing and mastering.

Room Adaptation
To optimally adapt to the acoustic environment, each A series speaker has a 4-band equalizer on the rear with parameters "Bass," "Desk," "Presence," and "Treble." Each frequency range can be adjusted in predefined steps, offering enough flexibility to compensate for typical acoustic problems that occur in a room when positioning speakers.

Bass: Overlap Caused by Walls
When a speaker is placed close to a (sound) hard wall, low frequencies overlap, causing the bass range to be overrepresented. The "Bass" adjustment counteracts this so the speaker doesn’t sound bass-heavy. Possible settings are +2, 0, -2, and -4 dB.
Desk: Reflections from Desk or Console
If a speaker is placed on or near a desk surface, the listening position will predictably experience an overrepresentation in the low-midrange caused by early reflections. The "Desk" control compensates for this effect and prevents the speaker from sounding boomy. Settings are 0, -2, and -4 dB.
Treble
In rooms with too much or too little absorption of high frequencies, the sound can be perceived as dull or harsh. The "Treble" adjustment restores a natural-sounding balance. Values are +1.5, 0, and -1.5 dB.
Presence
Under certain conditions, the midrange can sound rough or harsh due to room acoustics or equipment used. The "Presence" control tames this harshness and restores the speaker’s natural sound. Available settings are +1, 0, and -1 dB.
Digital Signal Processing
Thanks to powerful DSP technology, all A series monitors offer significantly improved and more extensive options for acoustic tuning compared to purely analog speakers.

Consistency and Durability
A key advantage of DSP-based speakers over analog systems is their consistency and predictability. Since signal processing occurs digitally, crossovers, filters, and equalizations do not age as analog components do. Signal conversion is done via high-quality AD converters carefully selected by ADAM Audio to achieve excellent performance.
Always Up to Date
The powerful DSP of the A series enables many functions, from remote control and room adaptation to selecting different voicings. All DSP-based features can be updated via Ethernet connection, including filter types, voicings, and new functions.
