The Hotone Voclas is a powerful vocal effects processor for singers, singer-songwriters and musicians looking to shape vocals and guitar extensively on stage or in the studio. Nine specially designed vocal effect modules, automatic pitch correction, up to three additional harmony voices, a high-quality microphone preamp with 62 dB gain and a separate effects chain for guitar make the Voclas a flexible all-in-one solution for modern vocal performances. The system is rounded out by a 90-second stereo looper, 100 factory presets, USB audio, Bluetooth audio playback, MIDI and an intuitive color touchscreen.
Extensive vocal effects and pitch correction
Nine dedicated vocal modules are available for shaping your voice: EQ, Compressor, Morph, Harmony, Boost, Double, FX, Delay and Reverb. AT-Tune algorithms provide low-latency pitch correction, covering both natural correction and clearly audible electronic pitch effects. De-Esser and Noise Reduction help deliver a clean, controlled vocal sound. A range of EQ, modulation, filter, delay and reverb algorithms is also available, letting you fit your voice precisely into the mix or transform it creatively.
Up to three additional harmony voices
The Voclas can generate up to three Harmony modules simultaneously, enabling four-part vocal arrangements alongside your original voice. Depending on your workflow, harmonies can be controlled manually, via detected guitar chords, via MIDI or automatically. Pitch rules and stereo positioning can be adjusted individually for each harmony voice. This makes the vocal processor equally suitable for subtle backing harmonies and complex multi-part arrangements.
Separate effects chain
For singers who play guitar at the same time, the Voclas has its own instrument chain. This includes Clean Amp, Overdrive Amp and Acoustic simulations, among others. Vocal and instrument signals can be routed flexibly to accommodate a range of live, PA and recording setups. The unprocessed or separately routed guitar signal can also be conveniently integrated into existing setups via the Instrument Thru output.
Looper, presets and convenient control
The built-in stereo looper offers up to 90 seconds of recording time and is ideal for vocal loops, guitar accompaniment and creative live arrangements. 100 factory presets and a song list function make it easy to organize sounds for songs and sets. Operation is handled via a clear color touchscreen with a mixer-style interface and three footswitches with dedicated indicators. Features such as Talk mode, Tap Tempo and SNAP scenes support a fast workflow during performances.
Professional audio quality
The microphone input uses a high-quality preamp and offers up to 62 dB gain, as well as 48 V phantom power. A/D and D/A conversion runs at 32-bit / 192 kHz, while internal DSP processing operates at 32 bit. With a 108 dB signal-to-noise ratio, 110 dB dynamic range and a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz at ±0.5 dB, the Voclas is designed for high-quality live and recording applications. USB-C supports USB audio and OTG applications, while Bluetooth audio playback, MIDI IN and MIDI OUT/THRU, and the EXP/CTRL connection provide additional control and integration options.
Vocoder, talkbox and creative voice transformation
The Morph module gives the Hotone Voclas a wide range of creative sound-shaping options. Vocoder and Talkbox algorithms produce classic electronic vocal sounds, while Robot, Monster and Vocal Instrument effects can dramatically transform the voice. Instrument simulations and vocal synth sounds are also available. The Voclas can therefore be used not only for conventional vocal processing, but also as an experimental voice effect pedal and voice transformer.
