The new Thick Fat MPC pads are highly responsive and react instantly to player input. The MPD218 offers six knobs across three banks, compared to a single control on the predecessor MPD18. This lets you pull the best sound out of your setup and gain precise control over your effects. MIDI data is transmitted to Mac or PC via the plug-and-play USB interface, so you don’t need to install any drivers. The MPD218 is powered entirely over USB—the included cable is all you need.
Extras
We didn’t just refine general functionality — with the Camera Connection Kit (sold separately) the MPD series is now iOS compatible. A software package worth around €400 is included (Big Bang Drums and Big Bang Cinema from Sonivox, Ableton Live Lite, and a software preset editor). The MPD2 family marks a major milestone in the evolution of our pad controller series.
