The New Generation of the ISA Series!

The Focusrite ISA C8X combines the legendary ISA sound with a modern USB-C audio interface for professional recording, mixing and production environments. The fusion of two faithfully recreated ISA preamps with Lundahl LL1538 input transformers, six additional remotely controllable microphone preamps and extensive analogue and digital I/O makes this 2U rack interface the ideal control hub for demanding studios. With a total of 26 inputs and 28 outputs, high-quality 24-bit / 192 kHz AD/DA conversion and convenient remote control via Focusrite Control 2, the ISA C8X meets the highest demands for sound quality, flexibility and workflow.

Legendary ISA Sound With State-of-the-Art Technology

The two integrated ISA preamps are based on the identical circuitry of the legendary ISA 110 and use premium Lundahl LL1538 input transformers for the characteristic, musical tone. With up to 79 dB of gain, switchable input impedance, balanced inserts, high-pass filters and separate gain control in 10 dB and 1 dB steps, a wide variety of microphones can be matched perfectly. The fully analogue sound modes "Console" and "430 Air" further expand the sonic palette with pleasing saturation or a transparent high-frequency lift.

Eight High-Quality Microphone Preamps

In addition to the two ISA channels, six further extremely low-noise microphone preamps with up to 69 dB of gain are available. Each channel features an Air mode and a variable Drive control for targeted tone shaping. The automatic gain setting significantly simplifies setting up new recordings and optimises all eight preamps within seconds.

Extensive Connectivity

For complex studio setups, the ISA C8X offers eight balanced line inputs with fixed gain, twelve balanced line outputs and two high-quality instrument inputs on the front panel. The instrument inputs also use Lundahl transformers and support selectable impedances as well as the Console and 430 Air modes. Additional digital channels can be integrated via ADAT and S/PDIF. MIDI and Word Clock ensure seamless integration of professional studio gear.

Reference-Class Conversion and Monitoring

The premium AD/DA converters match Focusrite's RedNet class and allow recording at up to 24-bit and 192 kHz. With a dynamic range of up to 125 dB and only 0.00022% THD, the interface delivers extraordinary transparency and precision. Two powerful Class-AB headphone amplifiers with separate volume control drive even high-impedance headphones with authority and detail.

Efficient Studio Workflow

Routing, monitor control, mixes and presets can be managed comfortably from the front panel or with the Focusrite Control 2 software. Multiple interfaces can be controlled together, making the ISA C8X particularly suitable for professional project studios, control rooms and complex production environments. Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 configurations are supported via the twelve line outputs, as are multiple monitor groups with convenient switching.
