ZOOM H6studio - The Most Advanced Handheld Recorder!
The H6studio features large-diaphragm microphones in an XY configuration, four studio-quality preamps and 32-bit float recording with dedicated gain controls. It builds on the technology of the F-series and is the most advanced recorder to date.
- The formats 32-bit float and 16/24-bit each offer their own advantages. 32-bit float protects against clipping but typically requires post-production. With 16/24-bit you can often skip post-production, but levels must be set carefully to avoid clipping. The H6studio gives you the best of both worlds with 32-bit float plus dedicated gain controls: no risk of clipping and often no need for editing. And thanks to the special format switch, you can adapt your workflow immediately.

- The 19.4 mm microphone capsules offer a very linear frequency response and a high dynamic range for SPLs up to 140 dB SPL.
- The H6studio preamps deliver extremely transparent audio transmission (-127 dBu EIN). In combination with two A/D converter stages and 32-bit float recording they provide a dynamic range of 132 dB.
- The H6studio features advanced look-ahead limiters that detect potential clipping in advance and prevent distortion before it reaches the recording track.
Headphone Output
The high-output headphone jack (20 mW) lets you monitor your recordings live or listen back afterwards.
Line Out
Use the stereophonic 3.5 mm LINE OUT mini jack to connect directly to a camera for easy audio/video synchronization.
Built-in Speaker
The internal speaker delivers up to 250 mW output so you can check recordings on location.

Four XLR/TRS Inputs + Stereo Mini Jack
The H6studio offers four locking XLR/TRS combo inputs with +48V phantom power that also support +4 dBu line level, plus a stereophonic mini jack input.
Next-Generation Capsule System
The H6studio's 3.0 capsule system supports 32-bit float technology and gives creators extra flexibility to choose the perfect mic for their recordings. And when no capsule is needed, use the supplied cover for the microphone connector.
Wireless Capsule
The WLM-1* is a two-channel wireless system with two transmitters and one receiver. The transmitter's built-in microphone captures audio up to 130 dB SPL with clear, balanced quality.
Track Sound in Real Time
In practice you can monitor input level peaks and waveform displays simultaneously. Tap the DISP button to switch between just the level meters or the waveform view.
