The DP-24SD is a solid-state 24-track digital portastudio with a color display and hardware controls that make recording effortless while you focus on your creativity. You can record up to eight audio sources simultaneously via XLR/phone combo jacks. Compressors and limiters are available, and you can use a guitar amp simulation and multi-effects together with the instrument inputs.

After recording, view your tracks on the large display and mix them using 19 linear faders and twelve rotary encoders. For mixing you get two effects including reverb and chorus, plus an additional effect for mastering. Finished songs can be transferred to a computer via USB for further editing or sharing.

The DP-24SD features eight XLR/phone combo inputs. You can record up to eight sources at once and play back and mix up to 24 tracks. Electric guitars and basses can be plugged directly into Input H when it is set to GUITAR.

3-Band Tone Control on Every Input & Track

The semi-parametric tone control on every input and track is available independently of any effects, so you can shape each track like a pro engineer. There’s even a Q control to adjust the bandwidth of a selected frequency range.

Color LC Display & Backlit Buttons

An 8.9 cm LC display and backlit buttons give you a clear overview of your project at every stage. Whether you use the SOURCE and SELECT buttons to assign an input to a track or the REC and MUTE buttons to arm and silence tracks, you’ll always see the status—even in low light.
12 rotary encoders are color-coded to the display, so you can quickly tweak EQ, pan and similar settings.

19 Faders Make Layer Switching Unnecessary

The DP-24SD offers twelve mono tracks and six stereo tracks. Use a stereo track for a synth or other stereo sources; use mono tracks for guitar or vocals.
Despite its many tracks and features, the DP-24SD is one of the easiest multitrack recorders to operate. Its 18 track faders plus a master fader give direct access to every track without flipping display pages or fader layers.

Dynamics, Effects, Mastering & Normalization

You can run up to eight dynamics effects at once—one per input. Choose from compressor, noise reduction, de-esser and exciter. Use the built-in compressor to add punch to a bass, guitar or drum track, for example.

There’s also a guitar multi-effect that includes noise reduction, amp simulation, compression, chorus, flanger, phaser, tremolo, auto-wah and delay. You can use effects like reverb, delay and chorus on any track via the SEND control.
Note: When using the multi-effect, only four dynamics effects are available. The stereo reverb via SEND/RETURN 1 remains available at all times.

Give Your Stereo Master a New Level of Quality

You can create a stereo master without a computer by using the DP-24SD’s mastering tools. These include a 3-band EQ, a 3-band compressor and three normalization options to adjust the maximum amplitude and perceived loudness of your audio.

Solid-State Media for Reliable Recording

The DP-24SD records to SD or SDHC media. These maintenance-free cards offer maximum resistance to shocks and vibrations because they contain no moving parts. If you need more space, simply insert a new SD card.

The file system is FAT16 or FAT32, so you can access your recordings from a computer when connected via USB. You can also import audio files recorded elsewhere and use them together with your portastudio projects.
