Powerful DSP for Flexible Control

The built-in D-XSUB processing allows optimal bass range adjustment. In NORMAL mode, the bass range is balanced, while BOOST mode delivers a tighter, more focused low end with extra punch. The XTENDED LF mode pushes the lower cutoff frequency even further down. This extends bass reproduction much deeper than expected from a subwoofer of this size. Normally, higher levels make it increasingly difficult to control the direction of low frequencies. This can create onstage sound pressure levels that significantly disrupt monitoring. However, with a DXS-XLF system of at least two subwoofers, the Cardioid mode can reduce onstage sound pressure and focus the low end more toward the audience. This makes onstage monitoring much cleaner. A DZR fullrange system undoubtedly becomes even more powerful when enhanced by the emphasized, robust bass of the DXS-XLF subwoofers.

Acoustics and Utility

The newly developed Yamaha drivers with durable cast aluminum frames and 4-inch voice coils contribute decisively to impressive bass reproduction even at the highest sound pressure levels. A double damper supports exceptional linearity in the low frequencies by reducing unwanted vibrations at high output levels.
