Power That Moves

The most powerful amplifier in its class. RCF transducers and amplifiers are continuously optimized. With 2100 watts, the new 2-channel Class-D amplifier in the NXW series delivers 50 percent more power than previous models. The speaker offers extremely high SPLs with ultra-fast response, precise transient reproduction, and minimal power loss. RCF amplifier modules are also so energy-efficient that they require no fan cooling.

The amplifier is mounted at the rear of the enclosure on a fixed heat exchanger with no moving parts. The signal input path is designed for minimal distortion and includes a modern limiter for added protection, preserving the tonal characteristics of the input signal at all levels. All amplifiers meet maximum safety standards (EN62368-1) and are powered by an ultra-lightweight switching power supply.

Outstanding Performance and Precise Coverage

The sophisticated horn design ensures precise projection of sound energy and avoids unwanted reflections when mounted on a subwoofer or speaker stand. This significantly enhances sound clarity in acoustically challenging environments. The speaker’s extended bass range can be further increased for medium-sized concerts and DJ sets by combining it with a subwoofer.

First-Class Transducers

The lightweight RCF drivers deliver impressive performance. To ensure maximum reliability and optimal interaction of all components, all transducers were specially developed by RCF engineers in Italy.

The 3-inch neodymium compression driver offers greater transparency and improved power handling with reduced weight. The industry-leading titanium dome and polyimide Kapton voice coil are extremely stable and low-distortion.

With a new, advanced transducer design, the three 10-inch high-performance woofers provide greater stability, low distortion, fast transient response, and better heat dissipation even at high power levels.

Bass Motion Control

To achieve extended bass reproduction and more power, the RCF development team replaced the standard high-pass filter with a groundbreaking technology: BMC (Bass Motion Control), an innovative feature that controls woofer excursion. The BMC-equipped speaker handles even the lowest audible frequencies without compromising woofer stability—for a linear, extended bass range and balanced sound.

BMC is an algorithm that thoroughly analyzes the woofer’s dynamic behavior and restricts only excessive excursion based on this specific data. This allows complete freedom in signal reproduction by the transducer. Conventional high-pass filters aim to prevent woofer damage but also affect phase behavior. Thanks to the new BMC algorithm, this issue is now a thing of the past.

A New Perspective on Linearity

RCF speakers are developed based on proprietary, advanced FIR filter technology that ensures a transparent sound image, absolute clarity, and a perfect stereo image. The special FiRPHASE filters enable uniform sound distribution for all listeners without phase distortion and with minimal latency throughout the system.

The NXW 44-A is ideal for mobile applications and professional fixed installations where high power and compact dimensions are essential. The slim column design and flexible rigging options make it the first choice for a wide range of uses. The robust enclosure made from premium birch plywood is easy to transport and equipped with ergonomic handles on both sides. The speakers can be used individually, on a speaker pole, or combined with a subwoofer. Flying or truss mounting is also possible via integrated mounting points and appropriate accessories. With its sturdy enclosure, textured finish, and robust front grille, the NX 44-A is suitable for both fixed installations and intensive touring use.
