Powerful, Highly Efficient Class-D Power Amp

The EMX7 and EMX5 models feature a built-in, highly efficient Class-D power amp and deliver output power of 2 x 710W and 2 x 630W, respectively. Despite their low power consumption and surprisingly light weight, the amps provide impressive output levels. Both models also include an integrated over-voltage protection circuit to ensure long component life and consistent performance.

Robust and Mobile Construction

With their intuitive, user-friendly layout, the EMX7 and EMX5 power mixers can be set up and operated quickly and easily even with only basic PA knowledge. The variable enclosure design lets users position the mixer vertically or horizontally depending on the application, for example on a table or on the floor for seated operation.

Comfortable Setup, Easy Operation

The EMX7 and EMX5 power mixers benefit from a rugged, highly portable construction based on a durable, powder-coated metal chassis for long-lasting on-the-road use. With large carry handles on the front and rear, the EMX7 and EMX5 are extremely portable. The handles also protect the controls and connectors on the control side from bumps and other stresses during transport.

Comprehensive Inputs and Outputs

Both the EMX7 and EMX5 feature four mono and mono/stereo input channels each to accommodate up to eight microphones or line sources such as keyboards and portable players. Channel 4 provides a direct connection for high-impedance instruments like guitars and basses. Both models also offer two AUX SENDs for monitoring or external effects, an unbalanced REC OUT phono output for connecting an external recorder, and STEREO OUT jack outputs for passing the stereo mix signal downstream.

Onboard Feedback Suppression

Few things can disrupt a live performance or a speech more than the sudden onset of unwanted feedback. The EMX7 and EMX5 power mixers include integrated feedback suppression based on Yamaha's unique digital algorithms in the 7-band notch filter, instantly eliminating annoying feedback at the push of a button.

3-Band Equalizer

Each channel on the EMX7 and EMX5 power mixers has a dedicated 3-band equalizer with controls for [HIGH], [MID] and [LOW]. Each band can be boosted or cut.

1-Knob Master EQ (Only EMX5)

The EMX5's 1-Knob Master EQ applies optimized EQ settings with a single press. The SPEECH setting reduces bass for clear, defined speech reproduction, ideal for meetings, seminars and conferences. MUSIC delivers a more balanced tonal picture tailored for acoustic and rock band performances. BASS BOOST is perfect for DJ applications or playback tasks where a bass-heavy sound is desired.

1-Knob Compressor

Both the EMX7 and EMX5 are equipped with Yamaha's unique 1-Knob compressor from the popular MGP and MG mixing console series. With just one control, users get perfect compression for vocals and instruments. Turning the [COMP] knob to the right automatically and simultaneously adjusts threshold, ratio and output gain.

Rack Mounting

With the separately available RK-EMX7 rack-mount kit, the EMX7 and EMX5 power mixers can be installed in standard 19" racks.

Extensive, Professional Effects and Signal Processing

Both the EMX7 and EMX5 are equipped with a powerful DSP unit that provides a total of 24 different effects, comparable to the renowned SPX-series effect processors trusted by professionals worldwide. Reverb and delay effects, for example, allow you to recreate environments ranging from small clubs to concert halls.

Flexible Speaker Connections

The EMX7 and EMX5 power mixers are fitted with speaker outputs for TRS jacks and speakON connectors.

Internal Universal Power Supply

The EMX7 and EMX5 include an internal universal power supply for trouble-free operation in any region of the world — even in environments prone to mains fluctuations.
