Studio Quality Through XMAX-R Preamps

At the heart of the system are 16 high-quality XMAX-R microphone preamps. These analog preamps provide exceptional dynamic range and deliver a clear, low-noise sound with enormous headroom. All preamps are fully recallable and can be accessed conveniently via software or the console, making the mixer ideal for recurring productions, touring setups, or complex studio installations.

Powerful DSP Processing

The integrated PreSonus FLEX DSP engine offers extensive sound-shaping options. Each channel and bus features nine State-Space modeled EQs and ten vintage-inspired compressor variants, letting you precisely craft both modern and classic tonal characters. In addition, two dedicated FX mixes with high-quality reverb and delay algorithms are available without occupying valuable buses.

Flexible Routing And Mixing Options

Six FlexMix buses enable exceptionally flexible signal processing. Each bus can be configured individually as an aux send, subgroup, or matrix mix. That allows the mixer to adapt perfectly to a wide range of use cases — from live sound and broadcast to installations in clubs, churches, or conference rooms.

Professional Recording Integration

The StudioLive SE 16R features a fully bidirectional 18 x 18 USB 2.0 audio interface, allowing you to record multitrack directly into your DAW. An integrated stereo recording function via SD card is also available. Combined with the included Capture recording software and Virtual Soundcheck, the mixer becomes a powerful recording hub for live productions.

Network-Enabled Audio Integration

Thanks to Milan-certified AVB audio networking technology, the SE 16R can be integrated easily as a stagebox or monitor mixer into a StudioLive Series III system. AVB enables low-latency, stable transmission of audio between multiple devices. Optionally, the AVB-D16 expansion also provides Dante network integration for complex audio installations.

Complete Software Control

With the Universal Control software you can operate the mixer remotely from a computer, tablet, or smartphone. The integrated offline editor lets you prepare mixes in advance. Additionally, the QMix-UC app lets musicians control their personal monitor mix via iOS or Android devices.
