Full Flexibility with 14 Inputs

14 easily accessible inputs on the top panel offer flexible options for connecting microphones, instruments, and other audio sources. You can connect up to 10 microphones, 14 line signals, or two instruments for live recording or mixing. A Bluetooth 5.0-enabled stereo input also allows streaming music from a smartphone or other streaming-capable audio device, or alternatively using RCA or stereo mini-jack to connect a CD player or other portable playback device.

Channel Strips with Professional Controls

Sensitively adjustable gain knobs at the top of each channel allow precise input level adjustment. The switchable low-cut filter quickly suppresses low-frequency noise, and the three-position input selector switch (Live/PC/MTR) lets you easily switch between different input sources.
Channels 1-8 also feature a 1-knob compressor and an effective three-band EQ with sweepable mids.

Versatile Routing and Monitoring Options

The Model 16 has three aux sends (Monitor 1, Monitor 2 (pre/post fader), effects send), offering many routing possibilities for all conceivable scenarios. PFL for pre-listening to channels is also available. Additionally, there is a subgroup with an extra stereo line output, which can be used to drive an additional amplifier, for example.

Via the three aux outputs, you can route audio signals for stage monitoring or integrate external devices like effects, signal processors, or headphone mixers. An additional control room output with its own fader can supply your active monitors in the home studio.

Powerful 16-Track Digital Recorder Included

The built-in 16-track digital recorder of the Tascam Model 16 can simultaneously record all 14 input signals and the stereo mix onto an SD card—in flawless quality at 48 kHz and 24 bit. Record everything from live performances to rehearsals, club activities, talk shows, or meetings. Overdubs and post-recording corrections via punch-in/-out can be done quickly and easily. And with an optional footswitch, you can trigger certain functions hands-free.

Built-in High-Quality Audio Interface

The built-in USB audio interface with its 16 inputs and 14 outputs lets you route individual mixer channels to a computer with DAW software at a sample rate of 48 kHz and 24-bit resolution. Or you can play back multitrack material from such a digital audio workstation through the mixer. With only four samples, the new generation of our USB driver enables a very small audio buffer. The result is extremely low latency and highest efficiency in audio recording.

Different Input Configurations for Versatile Use Cases

Using the input selector switch, you can assign the input source for each channel as needed. Stay super flexible by using some inputs live while other channels play back from the built-in multitrack recorder and yet others receive input from the computer via USB—all simultaneously.

16 Editable Effects

The versatile effects section of the Model 16 offers 16 editable and footswitch-controllable multi-effects including reverb, delay, chorus, flanger, and more. You can change one parameter for each effect via the menu. The selected effect can be mixed into the stereo mix via its own fader and also routed to monitor paths 1 and 2.

Four-Band EQ for the Stereo Mix

With a four-band EQ featuring two differently wide sweepable mid bands, you can give your mix the necessary finishing touch. Use the EQ as you like for the stereo mix or monitor paths 1/2.
