An audio icon is reborn - the Shure SM7dB delivers the sound you’ve loved for years, now with the convenience of a built-in preamplifier that provides extra gain. This version of the legendary dynamic XLR microphone makes it easier for podcasters, streamers, and musicians to capture perfect vocals.
The SM7dB features an integrated, Shure-designed preamp that delivers enough power to work with any XLR interface. The preamp offers up to +28 dB of gain while preserving the microphone’s frequency response for the best possible sound. To operate the preamp, you only need an interface or mixer with +48 V phantom power.
The microphone’s fundamental sound is extremely clear yet present and warm. It’s fully equipped for professional studios or demanding home studios. The integrated swivel mount allows precise positioning with secure hold. The air-sprung shock mount nearly eliminates any mechanical transmission.
Although designed for vocals, it’s also very popular on some instruments, especially amplified guitars and basses, as well as bass drum and snare.

The digital MVX2U audio interface is a powerful yet portable XLR-to-USB adapter packed with Shure’s latest audio technology. With up to 60 dB of gain, the XLR-to-USB adapter provides enough power to bring your favorite dynamic microphone, like the SM7B, to life. With phantom power up to 48V, it’s also suitable for using a condenser microphone with a computer.
