The XCM-50 captures even the finest nuances with its gold-sputtered 1/2" condenser capsule. It’s ideal for vocals, speech, acoustic guitar, piano, wind instruments, and percussion. The microphone features an internal pop filter that effectively prevents noise during close talking. Included is the versatile Rode Tripod 2 miniature ball-head stand.
The microphone houses a DSP chip that, combined with Rode’s free recording/streaming software UNIFY, allows you to process the signal with a high-pass filter, equalizer, noise gate, compressor, as well as the legendary Aphex Exciter and Big Bottom. Plus: when using UNIFY, you can run up to four XCM-50s simultaneously on your computer if needed.
The XCM-50 features Rode’s ultra-low-noise, powerful Revolution preamp (+76 dB): perfect also for insensitive dynamic microphones. The XCM-50 is a typical cardioid mic, meaning sound from the sides and rear is significantly dampened, with a forward pickup angle of about 90°.
The microphone can be precisely swiveled in its yoke mount to perfectly aim at the sound source. On the back are the 3.5 mm TRS headphone jack and the USB-C port. The XCM-50 has a truly powerful headphone amplifier—if you want, you can crank it up; volume is adjusted via the front rotary knob.
The package includes the Rode Tripod 2 desk stand, a 3 m USB-C to USB-C cable, and a high-quality 3 m 3.5 mm TRS headphone extension cable.

Make your voice shine with advanced vocal processing, such as a compressor for smoothness, a high-pass filter for clarity, and the legendary APHEX® Aural Exciter™ for sparkle and Big Bottom™ for depth. Don’t have a soundproof recording space? Remove background noise with the noise gate. And fine-tune each processor with the granular control found only on RØDE X microphones.
UNIFY - Virtual Recording/Streaming/Mixing Software for Streamers and Content Creators
The full feature set is unlocked when using the free recording/streaming software UNIFY. It offers a virtual 10-channel mixer with fader, solo and mute buttons on each channel. Also included are high-pass filter, compressor, noise gate, Aphex signal processing, eight freely assignable trigger pads with eight banks each, and native multitrack recording.
Editing and exporting are also possible, with high-resolution WAV recordings, optional MP3 export at 128, 192, 256, or 320 kbps, and direct access to system settings right from UNIFY.
Colors Is a Set of Colored Caps and Cable Tags for Use with the NT-USB Mini!
All tags match the channel colors used in RØDE Connect, so you can keep track of who’s speaking on which channel. Colors comes with enough cable tags for up to four NT-USB Minis, which can be connected to a computer via USB-C or USB-A cables.
