Hi, does the MCM-100 necessarily need a phantom power supply, or could I also connect the micro directly to a small loudspeaker box using a jack adapter, which would then amplify the input signal from the acoustic guitar?
The background to my question is the idea of being able to amplify a small acoustic touring guitar outdoors without having to lug around a lot of equipment.

Phanton power is provided by the XLR adapter? If so, does this adapter need batteries? What type of batteries does it take?
Or do you have to connect the XLR adapter to a mixing console that provides the 48v?
