The AKG D5 S is a dynamic vocal microphone for singers and presenters. Its supercardioid polar pattern makes it resistant to feedback. Even on loud stages you only hear what you want to hear. A slight boost in the mid and high frequencies delivers a clear, punchy vocal.

Unique is AKG's patented Varimotion diaphragm. It delivers a balanced sound and excellent speech intelligibility. Unlike conventional microphones, the diaphragm varies in thickness. The thicker center allows the mic to handle very high sound pressure, while the thin rim produces punchy bass. Vocals and speech therefore cut through even dense mixes. Handling and cable noise are effectively prevented by the elastic capsule suspension.

To avoid annoying pop and breath noise, the AKG D5 S includes a windscreen integrated into the grille. The microphone housing is metal with a scratch-resistant finish, making it highly durable and rugged. A microphone clip and a microphone stand are included.
