A Microphone for Creatives with the Highest Standards!
The WA-87jr is a modern take on the iconic '87-style microphone. It delivers brilliant highs, detailed mids and features a modern multi-pattern design. The combination of one of the most celebrated vocal capsules of all time and carefully engineered circuitry produces professional analog sound — ideal for vocals, streaming/podcasting, acoustic guitar, drums and more.
Faithful Replica Capsule
At the heart of the WA-87jr is a faithful replica of the famous K87 double-diaphragm large-diaphragm capsule found in the most sought-after '87-style microphones. With identical hole pattern and frequency response to the studio original, and paired with a discrete signal path and extremely low self-noise, it delivers pristine sound — perfect for vocals, voice-over, instruments or streaming.
Versatile
Three selectable polar patterns — Cardioid, Omnidirectional and Figure-8 — give you precise control over recordings, from intimate close-up tone to authentic room capture. A built-in pad expands headroom for loud sources, while the switchable high-pass filter reduces unwanted low frequencies. That makes the WA-87jr a true all-rounder for a wide range of recording situations.
