USB Vocal Microphone Optimized for Streamers and Gamers!
The Rode XDM-100 is the ultimate sound solution for podcasters, streamers, and gamers. The 22 cm long microphone weighs a solid 700 g with its full metal housing. As a dynamic microphone, it is insensitive to ambient noise—ideal when disturbances from adjacent rooms or outside are an issue. For close talking, you can attach the included foam pop filter.
For Professional-Level Vocal Sound
The microphone features a built-in DSP chip that, in combination with Rode’s free recording/streaming software UNIFY, allows you to process the signal with a high-pass filter, equalizer, noise gate, compressor, and the legendary Aphex Exciter and Big Bottom. The result: a convincing pro vocal sound, like you hear on radio stations or commercials. (Using UNIFY, you can operate up to four XDM-100 simultaneously on one computer if needed.)
The XDM-100 houses Rode’s Revolution preamp, which boosts even quiet voices to a rich, completely noise-free level. The large-diaphragm capsule has a cardioid pattern with a 90° front pickup angle—sound from the sides and rear is significantly dampened.
On the front of the microphone body is a 3.5 mm TRS jack for connecting headphones; the rotary control above adjusts headphone volume and also serves as a mute switch for the microphone. The USB-C port is recessed in the base of the XDM-100.
Full Feature Set with UNIFY Software
The full feature set is unlocked when using the free recording/streaming software UNIFY. It offers a virtual 10-channel mixer with faders, solo and mute buttons on each channel. Available are a high-pass filter, compressor, noise gate, Aphex signal processing, eight freely assignable trigger pads with eight banks each, and native multitrack recording.
Editing and exporting, high-resolution WAV recordings, export optionally as MP3 files at 128, 192, 256, or 320 kbps, and direct access to system control from within UNIFY are also possible.
The package includes the Rode shock mount PSM1, a 3 m USB-C to USB-C cable, and a high-quality 3 m 3.5 mm TRS headphone extension cable.
