Its flawless handling of high sound levels and the cardioid polar pattern make it perfect for use on guitar amplifiers, snare drums, or toms. The cardioid pattern ensures optimal directionality on drums – for example, it minimizes unwanted bleed from cymbals as much as possible. Simply a solid microphone that can of course also be used for vocals and speech.
Besides its sonic advantages, the VM-57 also bravely withstands the tough demands of stage use. The robust die-cast housing and sturdy metal grille protect the diaphragm capsule optimally against shocks, so occasional drops have no impact on the microphone’s functionality.
The VM-57 already includes a suitable tripod adapter with 5/8" thread!
