Professional Broadcast Headset for Maximum Speech Intelligibility!
The Audio-Technica BPHS1 combines high-quality closed headphones with a directionally optimized dynamic microphone — perfect for live reporting, interviews, presenting, or on-air productions. Head and ear cushions provide long-lasting comfort, and the flexible gooseneck lets you position the microphone on either the left or right. The 40 mm neodymium drivers deliver a precise sound image, while the closed design effectively mutes ambient noise.
Sound and Comfort
The BPHS1 headphones use 40 mm neodymium drivers and cover a frequency range of 20-20,000 Hz. With an impedance of 65 ohms and a sensitivity of 100 dB, they deliver a full, balanced sound and offer good level control — ideal for studio or field work. The closed, over-ear cups dampen external noise effectively, so you can focus entirely on speech or music.
Speech Recording With Precision
The dynamic microphone features a cardioid polar pattern and captures frequencies from 40-20,000 Hz. Its frequency response and polar pattern are specifically tuned for speech intelligibility, largely suppressing unwanted background noise. The flexible gooseneck can be comfortably mounted on the right or left side of the head and adjusted to the ideal mouth position — delivering clean, clear voice signals even in noisy environments.
Rugged Construction and Everyday Reliability
The BPHS1 is built for professional use: the head and ear cushions are comfortably padded, and the headset weighs a lightweight 264 g, making it comfortable to wear during long sessions. The included 3.3 m detachable cable terminates in a 3-pin XLR connector at the microphone and a 6.3 mm jack at the headphones — ideal for studio gear, mixers, and broadcast systems. If necessary, the cable and ear pads are easily replaceable, which significantly extends service life.
Overall, the Audio-Technica BPHS1 is a reliable, technically robust solution for anyone working in broadcast, streaming, podcasting or live hosting — with a clear focus on speech quality, wearing comfort and durability.
