To deliver clearer sound quality that accurately expresses the music, the euphonia uses high-quality 32-bit A/D and D/A converters as well as 96 kHz/64-bit floating-point mixing processes in the DSP, employing digital signal processing technology that AlphaTheta has developed over many years.

All sound coming from the euphonia passes through a transformer circuit developed by AlphaTheta and Rupert Neve Designs, the legendary maker of outstanding analog audio circuits and mixers, revered by artists and sound engineers worldwide. This transformer circuit, specially tuned for the euphonia, adds overtones to the music and creates a radiant, energetic sound ideal for mixing. Low frequencies like kicks and bass are more stable and powerful, mid frequencies such as vocals and instruments gain presence and brilliance, and high frequencies like hi-hats sound silky and natural. The transformer breaks the boundary between vintage live and modern electric sounds, making mixing easier and surprisingly natural, as if recordings in various styles have always been one single piece of music.

Once you touch the euphonia’s faders, you won’t want to let go. To enhance the intuitive mixing experience, the unit features brand-new, carefully designed rotary knobs that give you the feeling that you and the mixer are one. After extensive testing, the perfect knob sizes were carefully determined. On the outside, an elastomer ensures a comfortable and reliable grip as well as high vibration damping.

The unique fader mechanism also impresses with optimal weighting. When you turn the knobs at different speeds, you’ll notice a difference in feel: turning slowly, the resistance is higher for more precise mixing; turning quickly, the resistance lowers so you can reach the desired volume fast. The faders’ volume curves were optimized with feedback from numerous DJs, allowing you to fully focus on level control. This innovative fader delivers musical expression that moves your audience and enhances your performances.

Take a glance at the euphonia’s Energy Visualizer to instantly grasp your mix’s status and track volume balance. Conventional VU meters have only a single needle, making it difficult for DJs to monitor multiple channel levels simultaneously. The euphonia’s unique Mix Level Meter features a needle meter for each channel, so you can visually check levels for all channels and mix smoothly while keeping the groove steady. With a look at the Spectrum Analyzer, you can even keep an eye on the master output balance, helping your mixes sound consistent and fluid even during long sets as you adjust the euphonia’s output to get your perfect sound.

Isolator of the Highest Quality

The size of the isolator knobs is perfect for quick turns from center to maximum or minimum, and the torque load is perfectly balanced—for both rapid level changes and fine adjustments. They feel luxurious and don’t move too easily. The cut-off frequency and slope are set so that kick, melody, and rhythm bands are controlled and emphasized naturally yet sharply.

Brand-New Boost Send for One-Handed Effects

Add one of the built-in send effects or an effect from an external device to the sound of any master isolator frequency band. Press the Boost Send button for the bass, mid, or treble band. When you turn the isolator knob, the effect is applied to the corresponding band. This lets you apply effects with one hand in a way that previously required two, leaving your other hand free to mix another track.

Use Boost Level to Express Your Style

Choose the Boost Level setting that suits your playing style, and the level of each frequency band will be raised by the corresponding amount. Select +12dB for dynamic power, +6dB for tonal adjustment, and 0dB for reverb effects without volume change.

The euphonia features 5 built-in spatial effects and a high-pass filter, allowing you to easily add depth and width to your music. These are: Delay, Tape Echo, Echo Verb, Reverb, Shimmer, and HPF (High-Pass Filter). There’s also a Send/Return for connecting external effect devices. Each channel has a dedicated knob to set the send level for the selected effect, so you can apply exactly the right amount. The Time knob, which adjusts delay and reverb times, features a mechanism developed specifically for this unit that automatically switches between with and without tactile clicks depending on the selected effect. When using Delay, Tape Echo, and Echo Verb, the knob clicks in time with the BPM, enabling quick effect application. When using Reverb and Shimmer, no clicking is felt, allowing you to freely turn the knob for smooth sweeps or fine adjustments to find the perfect setting.

The euphonia was designed to usher in a new era of rotary mixers—with a two-tone, two-layer look symbolizing tradition and innovation. The channel strip, which includes traditional mixer elements, contrasts with the innovative display unit through matte and glossy textures, resulting in a clear design that combines analog and digital elements.
