The Roland DJ-202 is a groundbreaking controller for Serato DJ Intro and gives DJs the features and usability of a fully equipped professional controller in a rugged, portable unit. The compact DJ-202 draws on the concept of Roland's flagship DJ-808 and the DJ-505 and enables DJing, remixing and beat production during live performances and studio sessions. Thanks to its large low-latency platters, dedicated pad and transport controllers, an onboard sequencer and a microphone input with professional vocal effects, the DJ-202 offers a unique range of functions in its price class.

Based on the patented ACB (Analog Circuit Behavior) technology, the DJ-202 precisely reconstructs the original sound of these legendary machines and gives you all the tools to build rhythm tracks used by the world’s biggest music icons. The DJ-202’s expanded TR sounds include bass drum, snare drum, closed hat, open hat, tom, rim, clap and ride, offering plenty of options for creating drum sound layers and sequences.

Mixing and Scratching

Thanks to the DJ-202's large, class-leading low-latency platters, scratches and cues come easily. Dedicated controls for Serato DJ Intro allow quick creation and triggering of hot cues, loops and samples, and let you switch between the four decks via the Deck Select button. Use the channel filters or Serato FX (selectable via three FX buttons per deck) to refine transitions or accentuate scratches. With dedicated Play/Pause and Cue buttons you get the same direct control found on high-end controllers and standalone audio players.

Bring Vocals to Life

With the 6.3 mm jack microphone input including built-in reverb and echo effects, you can bring DJ vocals, radio drops, guest vocals or external instruments to life. Other vocal effects include a low-cut EQ for fine-tuning your sound and a noise gate to automatically mute artifacts and unwanted noise.

Remix, Produce, Perform

Use the TR drums or load your own sounds into the Serato sampler's four sample slots (each with individual sampler volume control) to form the basis for remixes, beats and live performances. Then program them with the DJ-202's 16-step sequencer (accessible via the performance pads) and automatically sync everything with your Serato library to create unique transitions, live remixes or revamped classic tracks.

Use the Inst-Rec mode for spontaneous real-time sequencing with the Serato sampler, or use the MIDI output to seamlessly synchronize any external MIDI gear and instruments with your sequencer and Serato DJ. Upgrading to Serato DJ unlocks even more production capabilities, including 32 synchronizable sampler slots across four banks, the complete collection of iZotope effects, software recording features and more.
