DDJ-FLX4: A 2-Channel Controller with User-Friendly Operation

Pioneer DJ presents the versatile DDJ-FLX4 DJ controller for beginners and advanced users, the direct successor to the legendary DDJ-400. The Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX4 is already unlocked for rekordbox DJ Performance mode and Serato DJ Lite, enabling use of streaming services like TIDAL, Beatport Streaming, Beatsource Streaming, and SoundCloud Go+.

The layout follows club standards, and the controls are arranged very intuitively, so pros, advanced users, and beginners alike can easily find their way around. Beginners are guided without prior knowledge through numerous DJ tutorials and two new Smart Mixing functions from Pioneer to quickly get comfortable in the world of DJing.

Compatible with rekordbox and Serato

You can use the DJ software rekordbox or Serato DJ Lite for free by connecting your PC/Mac to the DDJ-FLX4. If you want to upgrade to Serato DJ Pro, you can purchase a license or subscription for the premium version of the software.

Multi-Device Support

Whether you want to connect to a PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, or an Android phone or tablet, the DDJ-FLX4 handles it all. Even better: when using the controller with rekordbox for iOS/Android, once the update is available in early 2023, you can connect via Bluetooth® or USB to your device. Nothing will stop you from starting your DJ journey.

User-Friendly, Portable, and Pro Layout

The DDJ-FLX4’s control layout makes learning DJing easy and is borrowed from Pioneer’s professional DJ products: everything is simple to operate and clearly arranged. Plus, the controller is compact enough to take anywhere you want to practice or perform.

Built-In Sound Card (Audio Interface)

Thanks to a built-in sound card, you can easily connect the DDJ-FLX4 directly to your speakers or amplifier via RCA cables. Additionally, you can record via USB connection using rekordbox.

Brand-New Smart Mixing Functions

Not sure how to mix yet? No worries: with the Smart Fader function, you can start right away. It automatically adjusts volume, bass volume, and BPM, so you get smooth transitions between your tracks just by moving the channel faders or crossfader. And with Smart CFX, you create an effect combination that adds drama to your sound. Just turn a knob.

Selected Streaming Services Seamlessly Integrated

Rekordbox is compatible with multiple streaming services. You can choose from millions of tracks available on platforms like TIDAL, Beatport Streaming, Beatsource Streaming, and SoundCloud Go+ (subscriptions required) and mix them on the DDJ-FLX4. You can also use all effects and performance features to spice up your favorite tracks and create your own sound.

USB Audio Output for Microphone Signal

If you like to MC or sing over your sets, the DDJ-FLX4 makes it easy by mixing the sound for you. You can connect the controller to one device and hear your mix sound together with the microphone sound as long as no Bluetooth® device is connected. This also makes the DDJ-FLX4 an ideal choice if you want to live stream your sets, as you can handle everything from one device.

Performance Pads

The performance pads control essential software functions. The DDJ-FLX4 offers 8 pads per function that can be used for hot cues, pad FX, beat jump, samples, keyboard, loops, and pitch-shifting options. This allows you to creatively alter, extend, or customize special parts of the music to your liking.

Jogwheels

Jogwheels are, alongside mixer and effect functions, the most important control element of a DJ controller. The DDJ-FLX4’s jogwheels are ergonomically designed, provide a pleasant feel, and simulate what a DJ does with vinyl or CDs to find the right playback position in a track and play the song from that position.

Smart CFX / Smart Fader

With "Smart CFX," users can put their own stamp on any song by simply turning a knob to apply an arrangement of effects that gives the sound a special touch. The "Smart Fader" option activates tempo matching of two songs when moving a channel fader or the crossfader and handles cancelling overlapping frequencies.
