Thanks to the large jog wheels, pitch bending and scratching feel as smooth as on the CDJ-3000. The mixer section of the XDJ-AZ features the ergonomic layout of the DJM-A9, so all controls are easy to reach.

Clever features like the Playlist Bank for quick access to up to 4 playlists, Touch Preview for pre-listening without loading, and Touch Cue for precise transitions keep you in control. You can also view the status of the performance pads and the Beat FX settings at a glance — for a truly seamless DJ experience.

You can not only play tracks from USB drives but also connect DJs to your PC/Mac or mobile device. And if you want to express your individuality even more, you can play audio from external devices like turntables and samplers. The unit features a USB Type-C port for connection to PC/Mac, so you can use rekordbox for Mac/Windows in Performance mode or Serato DJ Pro*1 without a paid subscription for either. And if you use Wi-Fi for rekordbox Link Export, you can conveniently access tracks from your PC/Mac or mobile device without plugging in a cable.

Streaming DirectPlay Compatibility

With Beatport Streaming support, the Streaming DirectPlay feature lets you play tracks directly from Beatport’s massive dance music library and the latest genre-specific playlists. You even get analysis data like waveform, BPM and grid information, so you can easily mix new and diverse music into your sets. To use Streaming DirectPlay on the XDJ-AZ, you must subscribe to the Beatport Streaming Professional or Advanced plan.

The addition of a 32-bit D/A converter from ESS Technology has significantly improved sound quality to deliver clear, dynamic audio that can rock large venues and clubs. The 3-band master EQ lets you tailor the output sound to the venue’s acoustics. The unit also features a dedicated mixer settings button so you can quickly check and adjust the mixer status on the screen.

Wireless Monitoring With Extremely Low Latency and SonicLink-Compatible DJ Headphones

Thanks to the built-in SonicLink transmitter, you can enjoy wireless monitoring with extremely low latency using the professional HDJ-F10 DJ headphones. Press a single button to pair the XDJ-AZ with the headphones, and you can move freely in the booth or on stage without worrying about getting tangled in or pulling on a cable. SonicLink is the wireless technology developed by AlphaTheta that offers ultra-low latency. It transmits audio 20 times faster than the commonly used Bluetooth SBC codec, so you’ll never notice a delay between pressing a button or scratching the jog wheels and hearing the sound at the output. The XDJ-AZ does not support a wireless connection with the portable wireless DJ speaker WAVE-EIGHT.

SonicLink transmits audio with a latency of only 9 milliseconds — 20 times faster than the commonly used Bluetooth SBC codec. That means you won’t notice a delay and it enables precise monitoring and mixing.

The HDJ-F10 is AlphaTheta’s flagship headphone model, developed with meticulous focus on sound quality. The newly developed 40 mm driver features a PEEK-PU-PEEK composite film diaphragm made from two different materials to achieve high-resolution sound across low to high frequencies, so even the smallest musical details are clearly audible.
