It starts with the 6.3 mm jack input. Next comes the custom-made Eclipse ET-DB3 transformer, which matches impedance and balances the signal. When using a high-output instrument, the -15dB pad can be engaged here. This makes the SB-2 perfect for active basses and keyboards, which often tend to overload an interface input.

A stereo-to-mono merge function offers the convenient option to connect stereo instruments without having to switch them internally to mono first. The XLR output is wired according to AES standards with pin 2 hot. The StageBug SB-2 delivers a smooth, warm vintage-style sound. The Eclipse ET-DB3 transformer excels at turning extreme signals into natural-sounding compression. It also eliminates ground loops by isolating the input from the output. This is supported by the switchable ground lift.
