You want to capture the pure, unprocessed sound of your instruments, but bass and guitar sound dull, and the keyboard signal hums? Then you need a DI box, and a good one, so your sound doesn’t get lost on the (cable) run.

The Palmer BRIDGE 4A is a 4-channel active DI box in 19" rack format for feeding unbalanced, high-impedance signals from electric instruments like guitar, bass, keyboard, or synthesizer into the mic inputs of a mixing console. It delivers a transformer-balanced, low-impedance signal at the outputs and eliminates mains hum and interference caused by ground loops. This keeps the sound pure: brilliant, low-noise, and free of interference.

Each channel features a 6.3 mm jack input, a THRU-Out to forward input signals, e.g., to an amplifier, plus two transformer-balanced XLR outputs—one on the front and one on the rear. Thanks to a switchable 30 dB pad, the BRIDGE 4A can handle not only line signals but also extremely high input levels, allowing it, for example, to be inserted between amplifier output and speaker. The Audio-Over-Cat output enables forwarding all 4 channels’ signals via a single Cat cable (Cat5e or higher). This saves gear, space, and time. The active circuitry leaves the frequency response unaffected, achieves a high dynamic range, and delivers a higher output level than a passive DI box.
