The CT-S500 impresses with CASIO’s progressive AiX sound generation. This technology delivers a wide range of high-quality and expressive tones. The CT-S500 also offers a selection of innovative ADVANCED TONES designed to unlock maximum creativity. Integrated is a collection of CASIO CLASSIC TONES, chosen from our extensive range of well-known keyboard classics.

Thanks to Casio’s Active DSP, effect parameters can be assigned to control knobs and adjusted in real time, adding more dynamics and expression to your performance. The built-in speakers use CASIO’s advanced Horizontal Bass Reflex system, delivering powerful low-end sound.

Effects

The CT-S500 offers a range of built-in effects—from compressor and phaser to distortion and wah-wah.

For each of the four available effect chains, you can choose from 100 DSP effects, which can also be assigned to controllers for dynamic sound changes. Additionally, system effects like reverb, chorus, and delay are available. Two independent effect chains can even be applied to two separate sounds. Whether layering two tones or splitting the keyboard, you can still apply separate effect chains to each sound. When using auto accompaniment, different effects can be applied to the lead (melody) and accompaniment parts.

Connections

The CT-S500 can be easily connected to various external devices thanks to multiple connection options.

Line-out jacks allow simple connection to PA systems or other devices for live performances and recording sessions. The built-in speakers can be muted if needed. MIDI-compatible devices can connect via a MIDI USB port, enabling the CT-S500 to function as a MIDI sound source or MIDI controller. The CT-S500 can even be used as a Bluetooth® speaker with your smartphone or tablet. Paired with Casio’s dedicated app, the instrument can be used for practice, muting melody or accompaniment tracks, changing pitch or tempo, or simply playing along.

Sound

The innovative surround sound function creates an especially spacious impression. With the Volume-Sync EQ feature, you can perfectly adjust the sound independently of volume—ensuring all frequency ranges are clearly audible even at low volume.

Sampling

The CT-S500 can also sample sounds—for example, from a smart device. Long samples can be used to play melodies. Short samples fit perfectly into a drum set. Long samples can be up to ten seconds, while drum set samples last up to three seconds. Sampled sounds can even be processed with DSP effects—guaranteeing a musical journey of discovery.

Despite its compact size, the Classic Cantabile keyboard bench offers excellent seating comfort. The padded seat is covered with elegant black faux leather and can be easily cleaned if needed. The bench is height-adjustable in 3 steps via a screw on the X-shaped legs. When setting up, one leg hooks under the seat and is fixed with two screws. Rubber feet also ensure a non-slip stand.
