I previously had proper monitors from KRK and I'm aware that they can't keep up, but even if you make compromises, they're just no fun. I was very active with music for quite a while, including as a DJ, but I have less time at the moment and it bothered me to have to turn everything on first, mixing desk, active nearfield monitors... So I wanted to reduce the size of my set-up and started looking for active loudspeakers that can be connected directly to the PC.
Of course, I tried a bit with the settings that can be made manually on the back and also with the app, but it didn't help. At first I thought it was because I'm used to something else and I turned them on every now and then when I wanted to listen to music, but they only elicit a pained smile from me.
Price/performance etc. is all clear to me, but I really can't recommend them.
Order and delivery from Kirstein all quick and good, I really like the look of the speakers, but what comes out of them :/. I'll have to send them back and keep looking.
