The Yamaha RX300A is a powerful 5.2-channel AV receiver for movies, TV shows, music and gaming. Flexible 5.2-Channel Surround Sound

The five built-in amplifiers deliver 70 watts each into 8 ohms (20 Hz–20 kHz, 0.09% total harmonic distortion) in two-channel operation. Alternatively, up to 145 watts into 6 ohms at 1 kHz with 10% total harmonic distortion are available in single-channel mode. The Yamaha receiver is suited for classic 5.2 speaker setups and supports two active subwoofers via separate subwoofer pre-outs. Thanks to 3.2.2-channel flexibility, you can also use ceiling speakers or up-firing speakers to create immersive height effects.

Dolby Atmos and Virtual Soundscapes

Dolby Atmos creates a three-dimensional sound field where effects are heard not only from front, rear and sides but also from above. DTS Virtual:X delivers immersive surround effects even without permanently installed height speakers. Supported audio formats include Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital and DTS. The RX300A handles video signals up to 8K/60 Hz or 4K/120 Hz, making it suitable for compatible next-gen consoles and gaming PCs. VRR supports variable refresh rates, ALLM automatically switches to a low-latency mode and QMS reduces interruptions when changing frame rates.

The HDMI output supports eARC and ARC for TV audio transmission over a single HDMI cable. It also supports HDCP 2.3, CEC, Auto Lip Sync, Deep Color and x.v.Color. For higher-contrast images the AV receiver processes HDR, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and Hybrid Log-Gamma.

Automatic Adjustment to Your Room

The included calibration microphone analyzes the room acoustics and the connected speakers. The built-in room correction then automatically adjusts key sound parameters to the listening environment. This creates a balanced and precise playback even in acoustically challenging living spaces. Features like Dialog Level, Subwoofer Trim, Extra Bass and Lip Sync allow further customization to your personal preferences.

Bluetooth Multipoint and USB Playback

Via Bluetooth 5.3 you can stream music, podcasts and audiobooks wirelessly from your smartphone, tablet or laptop. Bluetooth Multipoint lets you pair two devices simultaneously so you can switch comfortably between audio sources. The USB port plays MP3, MPEG-4 AAC, WMA and WAV files from compatible storage devices and can also be used for firmware updates.

Besides the HDMI connections, the Yamaha RX300A has two analog line-level inputs, one optical digital input and one coaxial digital input. Five sturdy speaker terminals, two subwoofer outputs and a headphone jack offer flexible connection options. The built-in FM tuner expands playback options to include traditional radio reception.

Four scene presets let you recall favorite inputs and sound settings directly. The on-screen menu and included remote make the AV receiver easy to configure. The A.R.T. Wedge, a centrally positioned fifth foot, reduces annoying cabinet vibrations and supports focused sound reproduction.
