Compact HiFi CD Player for First-Class Music Enjoyment!

The Fosi Audio Merak is a high-quality, compact HiFi CD player that blends classic CD playback with modern digital technology. Equipped with a powerful Cirrus Logic CS43131 DAC, an integrated headphone amplifier and an optimized CD transport, it delivers precise, detailed audio reproduction. The built-in ESP anti-skip technology with a 60-second buffer ensures reliable playback even during vibrations. In addition, the Merak lets you digitize your audio CDs directly to USB storage and plays back a wide range of digital audio formats. Analog and digital audio outputs, a headphone jack and the supplied infrared remote make this versatile CD player an ideal addition to modern stereo systems, high-end HiFi setups and compact desktop audio rigs.

High-Quality CS43131 DAC for Detailed Sound

Inside the Fosi Audio Merak the audio components SC6137D, CS43131 and TPA6120 work together. The premium CS43131 digital-to-analog converter from Cirrus Logic enables clean, precise signal processing. With a signal-to-noise ratio of 124 dB, a dynamic range of 124 dB and an extremely low total harmonic distortion plus noise (THD+N) of 0.0009% at the analog line output, the CD player offers excellent technical specifications for detailed stereo reproduction. The optimized CD servo system supports reliable data reading and smooth playback.

60-Second Anti-Skip Protection for Uninterrupted Playback

The Fosi Audio Merak features integrated Electronic Skip Protection (ESP) with a 60-second internal buffer. This anti-shock technology reduces playback interruptions caused by vibrations or shocks. Especially on a desk, near powerful speakers or during strong bass transients, this feature adds operational reliability. The drive, optimized specifically for audio CDs, ensures dependable playback of your favorite albums.

CD Ripping and USB Music Playback

With the convenient CD ripping function you can digitize your audio CDs directly to an attached USB stick without needing a computer. That way you can easily transfer your existing CD collection into a digital music library. Alternatively, the integrated USB-A port plays music files directly from compatible USB storage devices. Supported audio formats include MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, APE and WMA. The Merak is compatible with conventional audio CDs and offers limited compatibility with self-burned CD-R and CD-RW discs. For hybrid SACDs, the standard CD layer can be played back.

Integrated Headphone Amplifier for Personal Listening

The built-in headphone amplifier with TPA6120 chip allows direct connection of your headphones via a 3.5 mm jack. The output power is at least 2 x 210 milliwatts into 32 ohms with a THD+N under 1%. Headphones with impedances from 16 to 300 ohms are supported. This makes the compact CD player suitable not only as a classic HiFi component but also as a high-quality playback hub for relaxed listening at the desk or in the living room.

Flexible Connections for Stereo Systems and External DACs

The Merak offers an analog line-out and an optical Toslink digital output so you can easily connect it to external amplifiers, active speakers or digital-to-analog converters. Via the optical output the CD player can also be used as a pure CD transport within an existing HiFi system. The integrated 12 V trigger output enables synchronized power-on of compatible audio components, for example from the Fosi Audio ZA3 or ZD3 series. This makes it easy to integrate the Merak into a modern stereo setup.

Convenient Control and Compact Design

The supplied infrared remote control lets you comfortably operate essential playback functions, select tracks and switch audio sources or outputs. The manufacturer specifies a range of up to 7 m. Thanks to its space-saving housing with a silver finish, the Fosi Audio Merak fits easily on a desk, in a compact HiFi rack or next to a stereo amplifier. Power is supplied via a DC 5 V / USB-C power input. This versatile compact disc player combines classic music playback with practical digital features and high-quality audio engineering.
