Schaller Security Locks Strap Security System for Guitar and Bass!
In 1981 Schaller developed and patented a completely new product with the Schaller Security Locks — arguably the most secure connection between guitar and strap. In 2018 the next generation was introduced with the S-Locks.
During development of the new revolutionary S-Locks, three components were perfected and combined:
- Unique one-piece strap pins made from ultra-hard steel
- Locks that fit every strap thickness with ergonomic operation
- A patented locking nut - Lock-Wheel - with triple safety architecture

Lock-Wheel
- Lock-Wheel with special patented thread ensures a secure hold. It can be tightened safely by hand without tools.
- The 2-hole receptacle (fits a 2 mm hex key or screwdriver) allows a firmer tightening torque of the Lock-Wheel for maximum hold.

I've been through quite a few. With the very cheap iss mostly so that either the belt attachments are for'n bucket or the can not get off the pins without rumgerödel.
With those here, the belt can be fastened super well and the closures are secure, but can still be removed smoothly after unlocking.
The Schauben of the pins are slightly longer than the originals, that then ensures sufficient lining, so that nothing loosens unintentionally there.
Successful, I would say.

First I had concerns to attach such a holder itself. But it was then very simple and went quite quickly. Even the mounting button on the strap was in a few seconds and can be quickly and easily attach to the guitar. Would I buy a new guitar immediately again.

Looking for new security locks for my new Rickenbacker, I ordered and tested the Schaller Locks.
Disadvantage are the buttons for the guitar. These are incl the thread one-piece design, an exchange of the screws is not provided. With the Rickenbacker, however, the screws of the original knobs are thicker and the holes did not fit. For this I had to glue in fitting rods of round wood in the guitar and re-drill. That is quite annoying.
The locks for the strap are well thought out and quick to attach.
The disadvantage here is that the clamping nut has to be secured by a tiny grub screw. Not everyone has such a screwdriver (slot) lying around.
Schaller could easily supply one.
So there is clear potential for improvement.

Function and workmanship are perfect. The Security - Locks but are significantly longer than standard belt pins. The mandatory wooden hood is also somewhat larger (longer and thicker). I do not mind. For this, the locks but also fit easily with the thick leather belts used by me.
