The AEG, a compact electric acoustic guitar with a slim neck, has been known for its easy playability for over two decades. Ibanez is proud to announce that the AEG series has been refreshed with updated electronics and a modern look. The changes are based on the concept of "simple and easy operation."

The AEG50 starts with a new preamp, the Ibanez AEQ-TTS. This small and straightforward preamp features just two controls, volume and shape. This tone control offers a natural acoustic sound in the middle position. With this feature, players can easily adjust the tone and switch with a single knob from low, full, and powerful tones to a bright and clear sound. The preamp also includes a new, easy-to-read onboard tuner with an LCD.

Other features include a spruce top and sapele back and sides, an Ibanez T-Bar II undersaddle pickup that balances the volume of each string and delivers a balanced signal, as well as special pear-shaped Ibanez Advantage bridge pins for easy string changes.
