First of all: the sound is really great! I'm also glad that the ukulele has a strap holder at the bottom, otherwise the small instruments tend to slip out of my hand. I don't know if I've got hold of a vintage model, the mechanism of the E string doesn't grip or doesn't close. This means that the E string moves down one or two notes while I'm playing and that just sounds horrible and is very annoying. The rest of the tuners work perfectly. (When tuning, never forget to pull the strings and then retune! :) ) I learned guitar making (it's been ages), but for the price I don't want to have to replace the tuners right at the beginning. Otherwise, the workmanship is really great and the sound is almost unbeatable for the price.
