Elegance Meets Rich Baritone Tone!
The Ortega RUOX-BA Onyx Series Baritone Ukulele combines classic design, premium materials and first-rate tone. With its high-gloss black finish, warm-sounding mahogany body and refined walnut details, it’s a true premium instrument for ambitious ukulele players. The full-bodied baritone tone and smooth playability make it an ideal choice for stage, studio or leisure.
Stylish Construction and Rich Tone
The body is crafted from carefully worked mahogany with a spruce top that delivers a balanced tonal picture. Mahogany produces warm mids and full bass, while spruce provides brilliant highs. The interaction of these tonewoods gives the RUOX-BA its characteristic deep voice with excellent resonance — ideal for expressive strumming or precise fingerpicking.
High-Gloss Finish and Fine Details
The deep black high-gloss finish gives the Onyx Series its unmistakable character. The mahogany binding and the slotted headstock with walnut accents underline the elegant style and make each ukulele in this series a visual highlight. The workmanship is precise and robust, ensuring long service life.
Perfect Playability for Every Style
The mahogany neck with a 38 mm nut width and a 510 mm scale feels comfortable in the hand and offers excellent playing comfort. The walnut fretboard provides a smooth, responsive surface and precise intonation across all 19 frets. Thanks to the baritone size, you get a deeper, warmer tonal range — perfect for musicians who want more depth and dynamics in their sound.
Premium Hardware and Stable Tuning
The gold-colored tuners with black buttons ensure accurate tuning and reliable stability. The RUOX-BA ships factory-strung with Ortega UWNY-4-BA strings, which are tuned to the instrument’s tonal character and deliver a harmonious balance between tension and tonal clarity.
Transport-Ready with Pro Gigbag
The scope of delivery includes the high-quality Ortega Pro Gigbag, which offers optimal protection and comfortable carrying. It keeps your ukulele safe whether on the road, at rehearsals or on stage.
