The Ovation Celebrity Elite Plus CE48P combines the brand's characteristic roundback construction with a selected koa hardwood top, the signature multi soundholes and an extra-flat Super Shallow Lyrachord body. Selected Koa Top With Scalloped X-Bracing

The standout feature of the Celebrity Elite Plus models is the use of visually expressive top woods. The CE48P uses selected koa. Under the top sits a scalloped, quartersawn X-bracing. This cross-arranged bracing stabilizes the top while supporting its free vibration. Together with Ovation's special body design, it creates a construction that clearly differs from classic steel-string acoustics with a traditional wooden back.

Super Shallow Lyrachord Body For Direct Handling

The Super Shallow Lyrachord body is one of Ovation's extra-flat roundback variants. Its shallow body depth keeps the instrument close to the player and easy to hold. Instead of a classic flat wooden back, the guitar features Ovation's signature rounded Lyrachord body. The combination of this construction and the hardwood top shapes both the playing feel and the distinct character of the Celebrity series.

Multi Soundholes And High-Quality Details

Rather than a single central soundhole, the CE48P uses several side-positioned multi soundholes. That leaves a larger uninterrupted vibrating area in the center of the top while placing the openings closer to the player's ear. Multi-piece epaulettes made from different woods visually frame the openings. Abalone dot inlays on the Ovangkol fingerboard and a cream-colored body binding with multi-piece veneers complete the detailed appointments.

Nato Neck And Proven Ovation Play Geometry

The neck is made from nato and paired with an Ovangkol fingerboard. The scale measures 643 mm, while the nut width of 42.8 mm provides a familiar playing geometry for a six-string acoustic. The bridge is also crafted from Ovangkol. Oil-sealed Ovation tuners in chrome ensure precise string tuning and complement the instrument's functional hardware.

CP-100 Slimline Pickup And OP-4CT Preamp

For amplified use the Celebrity Elite Plus CE48P is equipped with an Ovation CP-100 Slimline pickup.
