The Next Generation Builder's Edition 524ce combines comfort, rich tone and high performance, expanding our collection of player-focused guitars with an exciting new acoustic inspiration. This thoughtfully contoured Grand Auditorium features a beveled armrest, a beveled cutaway and beveled edges, delivering remarkably comfortable, easy playability for any style.

Tonally, the solid mahogany top paired with back and sides of responsibly sourced Shamel ash produces a warm, focused midrange that gains a touch of natural compression from the hard hardwood top to smooth the attack, while the strategically placed V-Class bracing inside improves top vibration for an even richer, warmer and more powerful response.

Players will appreciate the adjustability of the new Action Control Neck and the intuitive control of our new Claria electronics, both part of the Next Generation design philosophy. Visual details include a single-ring Italian acrylic rosette, Compass inlays, antique-chrome Gotoh 510 tuners, a Firestripe pickguard and a glossy Kona Burst finish with a satin neck.

Action Control Neck

With the Action Control Neck you can adjust the string action quickly and precisely. The long-tenon joint increases coupling between neck and body, which supports sustain, warmth and resonance. If you want a guitar that stays comfortably adjustable over time and sounds acoustically coherent, this neck concept is a real practical advantage.

Claria System Electronics

For stage, rehearsal and recording, the Claria System delivers an evolved under-saddle piezo solution plus preamp that tames typical piezo harshness. Using the soundhole controls you can set volume, mid-contour and tone right on the instrument—ideal when you need to react quickly to room acoustics, PA or monitor situations without long mixer tweaks.

Scalloped V-Class Bracing

The scalloped V-Class bracing is designed to beef up the low end and increase projection without losing the clarity and intonation Taylor is known for. For you that means more low-end fullness, richer open-string resonance and a projecting tone that sits confidently in a band mix or on small stages.
