Gibson Parlor Rosewood EC Acoustic Guitar in Rosewood Burst!

The Gibson Parlor Rosewood EC is a small acoustic guitar with a cutaway that packs plenty of personality and an even bigger sound. With its compact body reminiscent of a stripped-down SJ-200, it looks classically Gibson and is super comfortable and easy to hold and play thanks to its compact size.

Thanks to Gibson’s exceptional craftsmanship techniques, including a dovetail neck joint, a rounded top, and traditional scalloped X-bracing, it delivers a particularly warm and balanced tone. The solid Sitka spruce top is beautifully coated with glossy nitrocellulose lacquer. The solid rosewood back and sides are finished with a satin nitrocellulose lacquer and feature multi-ply top binding and single-ply back binding.

The cutaway body provides excellent access to the entire fretboard. The satin nitrocellulose-finished mahogany neck features an Advanced Response profile that many players find perfect—it’s neither too slim nor too thick and feels comfortable for most players. It’s equipped with a bound rosewood fretboard with an easy-playing 16" radius. The fretboard has 19 standard frets and is decorated with individual parallel mother-of-pearl inlays. The Gibson logo on the headstock is also inlaid in mother-of-pearl.

The nut, saddle, and bridge pins are made of TUSQ, which, combined with smooth, gold-plated Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners, ensures absolutely stable tuning. The rosewood bridge has Gibson’s traditional belly-up orientation, while the pickguard is made of faux tortoiseshell. The Gibson Parlor Rosewood EC is equipped with an L.R. Baggs VTC under-saddle piezo pickup and an active preamp, whose handy volume and tone controls are discreetly placed at the edge of the soundhole, so you can start playing right away on stage or in the studio straight out of the included modern hardshell case.
