Traditional Parlor Guitar With Modern 12-Fret Construction!
The Gibson L-00 Century 12-Fret blends classic construction with enhanced resonance and offers you an exceptionally balanced tonal response for fingerstyle and acoustic playing.
Compact Body With Impressive Tone Projection
The L-00 has been one of the most recognized small-body acoustic guitars since the 1930s, prized for its compact form and remarkably balanced tonal character. Thanks to the smaller body size, the instrument responds especially sensitively to your attack and is ideal for dynamic, nuanced playing.
12-Fret Construction for Increased Resonance
The special 12-fret neck-to-body joint moves the bridge position closer to the center of the top. This lets the top work more efficiently and produces a warmer, more resonant tone with clear articulation. At the same time, you benefit from comfortable playability and an ergonomic posture while playing.
Premium Tonewoods for Balanced Sound
The combination of a solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides delivers a balanced sound with clear highs, defined mids and a warm bass foundation. This classic wood pairing is ideal for fingerpicking and acoustic accompaniment.
Traditional Construction and Refined Details
The mahogany neck with a SlimTaper profile gives you a comfortable feel across the entire scale. The rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl dot inlays complements the premium appearance. The classic dovetail neck joint ensures optimal vibration transfer. The instrument is completed by vintage-style open-gear tuners, a rosewood bridge, and bone nut and saddle.
Authentic Finish and Durable Construction
The hand-applied nitrocellulose lacquer in a satin finish allows the wood to vibrate freely and contributes to an open tonal development. At the same time, the guitar acquires an authentic vintage character that perfectly suits the historic nature of the L-00.
Tested Quality
To ensure you enjoy this instrument for many years, it was inspected and pre-setup by Kirstein quality control in our guitar workshop by our guitar technicians. We guarantee its flawless condition on a certificate that is included with the instrument.
