The L Series: Compact Construction With Balanced Tone!

Gibson was a pioneer in the development of small-body acoustic guitars at the beginning of the 20th century with its L-series instruments. The Gibson L-00 was developed in the early 1930s and has been one of the industry-standard small-body guitars for decades. These smaller Gibsons produce a tone best described in the Gibson catalog of 1934 as "perfect balance." The L-series small-body instruments, often called parlour guitars because they were frequently played in living rooms or "parlors," have remained popular ever since.

Finally! An authentic, exceptional parlour acoustic with outstanding tone at an affordable price. The L-00 Standard was designed from the ground up by the Epiphone team in collaboration with Gibson Acoustic and beautifully captures the heritage of these early Gibson models. The Epiphone L-00 Standard is built from solid tonewoods so the sound of this guitar improves with age. The back and sides of the body are made from solid mahogany, paired with a solid spruce top, delivering a beautifully balanced tone that excels for strumming and fingerstyle and is especially appealing for country, folk, blues, Americana and similar genres. The neck is crafted from a single piece of mahogany and features a comfortable, rounded C profile.

It is attached to the body with a glued, tapering dovetail joint. The fretboard is fitted with 19 standard frets and subtle mother-of-pearl dot inlays. The L-00 Standard sports the popular 1960s Kalamazoo headstock, fitted with a bone nut and high-quality Grover Mini Rotomat tuning machines for solid, stable tuning. The rectangular rosewood bridge is equipped with a bone saddle and ivory-colored plastic bridge pins.
