Martin Guitar 00-18 Joe Bonamassa

Martin 00-18 Joe Bonamassa - Compact Signature Acoustic Guitar With Historic Character!

The Martin 00-18 Joe Bonamassa was created as the second collaboration between C.F. Martin & Co. and the internationally renowned blues-rock guitarist. It was modeled on a particularly prized Martin 00-18 from 1937. This signature model blends the characteristic aesthetic of a well-played vintage instrument with the reliability and precise craftsmanship of a modern acoustic guitar.

Solid Tonewoods and Balanced Tone

The solid spruce top combined with back and sides made from solid mahogany form the tonal foundation of this acoustic. This traditional wood pairing delivers a warm low end, present mids and clearly defined highs. The 00-18 responds dynamically to different picking strengths and renders both single notes and chords with nuance. Blues, folk and fingerstyle players especially benefit from its direct response and balanced frequency spectrum.

Golden-Era Bracing for Resonance and Sustain

Under the top you'll find Golden-Era X-bracing in spruce with scalloped braces. The 1/4-inch-thick braces support free top vibration and are constructed following historical Martin designs. The result is a lively response with natural sustain and an open projection. The glued dovetail neck joint creates a solid connection between neck and body and contributes to efficient transfer of string vibration.

Traditional Materials and Precise Details

The ebony fretboard carries Old-Style-18 abalone inlays and, together with the ebony bridge, provides a stable, direct playing platform. A compensated saddle and a bone nut support clean intonation and clear tone transmission. The 1930-belly bridge features a glued-in long saddle, while open nickel tuners with butterbean buttons complement the vintage appearance. Binding, endpiece and pickguard in tortoiseshell look as well as the multi-ring rosette pick up classic Style-18 cues.
