Ibanez AAM340CE-RUB Advanced Acoustic 6-String Auditorium Guitar in Rustic Black High Gloss!

The Advanced Acoustic series marks a milestone in the long and storied tradition of the acoustic guitar. These instruments were completely redesigned to produce a richer and brighter sound with an unprecedented dynamic range. The newly developed design delivers excellent, powerful tone, and thanks to comprehensive ergonomic considerations, these instruments are extremely comfortable to play. The Advanced Acoustic series elevates the acoustic guitar to a new level and promises an exciting new experience for all players.

The AAM340CE features AAM-series-specific elements such as the A.I.R.port, X-M bracing, and the Advanced Auditorium body. It also comes with a thermo aged African mahogany neck with rounded fretboard edges, a rosewood fretboard, and a solid African mahogany top, as well as African mahogany back and sides. Additionally, the guitar offers an Ibanez T-bar undersaddle pickup, Ibanez custom electronics with volume and tone controls, and a rosewood scalloped bridge.

A.I.R.port

Through intensive research and development, the A.I.R.port was equipped with a unique internal structure that reflects sound waves and directs them to exit through a precisely positioned soundhole. This allows players to hear what they play more clearly, enhancing the overall playing experience.

Advanced Auditorium Body

With the concept of Advanced Acoustics – "Reimagining Acoustic Experience" in mind, the new body shape of the Advanced Auditorium was carefully designed based on research into the general auditorium body shape. After many rounds of prototyping, the Advanced Auditorium body features a slightly wider waist shifted slightly toward the neck. Thanks to these changes, this shape delivers richer low mids and a better balance between body and weight, which is often lacking in conventional auditorium guitars.

X-M Bracing of the AAM Series

After more than two years of trial and error, research, and prototyping, Ibanez developed the proprietary X-M bracing specifically for Advanced Auditorium guitars to create the ultimate sound for stage and studio. The carefully designed scalloped X-M bracing, tone braces, and finger braces efficiently transfer string vibrations from the bridge to the body. These braces provide a wide dynamic range and excellent response. The mids are slightly scooped for better tonal balance, and the highs have the clarity of steel strings while retaining the warmth of nylon strings.
