I'm writing this review because I was skeptical about the quality of the current Marshall transformers. Some of the transformers made in Vietnam seem to hum a lot. I don't know where the Plexi transformers are made.
The background noise of this model is extremely low at Volume 1 and 2 on 6 and Master on 8! And this setting is brutally loud! Only at even higher volumes does the "usual" noise start, but no transformer hum! My JVM 410 and my JMP 2204 from the 70s (JCM 800 predecessor) are much more annoying. The hand wiring pays off. Super!
Tip: if you spend the 3,189 € then also buy a good attentuator. I use the Fryette. With Master on 2, the amp is nothing special...
