The EVH 5150 Iconic Series meets the demands of live and studio guitarists who want the powerful EVH tube tone at a more affordable price. The Iconic Series is an evolution of the popular EVH 5150III amplifiers and delivers the characteristic sound and snarling gain that made Eddie Van Halen famous during his groundbreaking career.

Designed by renowned amp designer James Brown, the 15-watt head of the 5150 Iconic Series is driven by an EL34 power tube and features a complex, multi-stage hybrid preamp section supported by two ECC83 tubes, giving the modern guitarist all the firepower they need.

This head punches above its weight and offers two channels, each with an extra voice for even more versatility. The green channel features an Overdrive knob that lets you move from clean tones to increased gain, while the red channel's Burn knob adds a fiery crunch ideal for blazing leads. Each channel has its own Gain and Volume controls so you can match levels when switching between the clean and high-gain channels. The Boost control gives you an additional 10 dB of footswitchable volume—perfect for ensuring your solos cut through the mix. The front panel also includes shared EQ controls (Low, Mid and High), global Resonance and Presence knobs to shape the low and high frequencies of your sound, plus a global Reverb to add the perfect amount of bounce and decay to any room.

Other features include a 2-button footswitch, an effects loop, two parallel speaker outputs, a 1/4-power switch to reduce wattage—so you can crank the amp and keep the tone without disturbing the neighbors—and a speaker-emulated DI XLR output with Power-Amp Mute for a precise EVH all-tube tone for direct recording or use through any PA system. The 15-watt amp of the 5150 Iconic Series is finished in black textured vinyl and features a brushed, gold-anodized aluminum front plate and a black steel grille with gold and black 5150 and EVH logo emblems. This tube amplifier is rounded off with a brushed, gold-anodized aluminum control panel, vintage-style chicken-head knobs and a molded black plastic handle on top.
